I understand the double standard that's being applied here on the side of the U.S. (Which is that we do go out of our way to take care of minorities- even illegal immigrants, whereas few other places would. I live in Myrtle Beach, well over a thousand miles from any Mexican border, yet there's signs here in Spanish. Go figure.) I think we shouldn't generalize and demonize all Mexicans or illegal immigrants from Latin America simply because of a few cases. Really, it's just a matter of laws we already have that aren't being enforced.

OKMy point is, there are good and bad people all over the world.
That might have been your point but it didn't work out...since it seems there are no bad american citizens.

you're pissed because someone who is NOT you gained their citizenship while others remain illegals and can get deported at any time? not being rhetorical, im genuinely asking. where is the connection. my great grandparents came to NY on a boat and became citizens...and yet i dont see the connection of how they were or i am screwed over by some mexican migrant worker.
I've had friends here who asked for higher wages to do farm work and instead lost their jobs to illegals. Farm work is hard work. The farm owner paid 5 bucks an hour to his illegal immigrant workers. He'd only hire illegals and teenagers who thought 5 bucks an hour was a lot of money. One of my best friends had worked their for 2 years for 5 bucks an hour part time, since he knew the owners son through school. Him and his friends went to the owner to ask for raises. They wanted 5.25 an hour. Note that my friend is Latino and who was born here in the United States who's parents LEGALLY immigrated to the United States. The farm owner flat out denied them. Quoting the owner from what my friend said he told him:
If you want more money go look for another yob. Look at Castillo and Ramon there, their happy with 5 doolars an hour, you should be too.My friend was pi$$ed. He told me about it. And I rectified the situation by contacting INS on his behalf. Apparently the farm owner was an illegal immigrant himself and when the INS raided his farm this year in March, it put a smile on my face. They deported him! And rounded up nearly 15 illegal immigrant workers. His sons were born here so their practically US Citizens already, so they got to stay and take over the farm while their dad has a 5 year ban from reentering into this country. 🙂
My friends were hurt does that count?

in other words, you have not answered the question. in fact you didnt even make a valid connection. your parents are citizens, they are not. yet illegals are better off? wow
Yes my parents became citizens by following the legal process. Not stepping on it like 12 million people have done. My parents are angry and disappointed that all these people can come here and bypass America's laws and be rewarded with amnesty and free citizenship. They are very old now and can't join in on the protests. I speak for them.
