I assume thats Darren McFadden right?

If so, still a bad move. Rather have an good young CB, than McFadden.

Get Felix Jones, Ray Rice, or Jonathon Steward later on, and still have the ability to get an CB (which is now really important without the signing of Reeves), and WR.

Heck, a good possibility is signing Warrick Dunn to a small contract and being used as a change of pace back.

The similarities are amazing.

Smas, the lost of Reeves was addition by subtraction. Don't Cowboy fans call him the "human 3rd down conversion"?

True, I'm not worried about Reeves either, but considering the next best thing to go into Nickel with is a 7rd draft pick and some guy they got off waivers, CB is the more important thing to get.

Especially considering Henry, who I like, goes down every year for at least 4 games.

They need an CB and having two 1st rounders allows them to get, for less amount of money than McFadden, hopefull get an nickel back, who can easilly start and replace Henry down the road, and a WR that can learn from Glenn, and Owens and can strech the field as a 4th receive and be able to start in both positions adequately. There was nothing wrong with the run game last year, and having McFadden wont necessarily get the Cowboys to the Superbowl.

well we will see if Alexander lost it all together or if the O-line in seattle is mostly to blame because Seattle is bringing Duckett and Julius to town.

I liked Julius Jones, but something happened to him.

Forum, as a Seattle, you remember that game on where he played in his rookie season, and it was monday nighter and he was unstoppable?

He had a few games like that, but he hasnt been even near that effective since.

Goes to show you that RB's career are usually short. Good pickup though, you didnt get him for very much.

im not sure why jones choose to sign with seattle though. We didnt give him huge money and he may not play much. Somewhere like Chicago or Detroit I would think he could get more money and a better guarantee of playing time. But oh well it works for me. Hopefully TJ still has his short yardage abilities cause that has really been hurting us recently. In the superbowl year Alexander covnerted EVERY 3rd/4th and 1 or less he attempted during the entire season. That is a great commodity to have and hopefully TJ can restore some of that.

Yeah, didnt make sense either.

Maybe nobody offered him anything, but if Alexander plays like last year, I can see Jones getting some quality time. Good thing about him is that he never, ever complained of playing time and both Barber, and Jones worked well together.

TJ Duckett was alot of talk, but he's a bum.

well TJ is suppose to be in the best shape of his life and ready to go so we will see. They arnt gonna ask him to do anything fancy as long as he can be a power back is all I want.

Yeah, I guess.

I just remember this guy came into the league for the Falcons and he hasnt done anything.

How many teams has he been on in the past 5 years?

He was apart of the greatest trio in NFL history.

DVD!!!

Totally!!!!

only 2 I think ATL and DET?

-edit

oh and Washingotn, he did have his best rush avg of his career in DET last year.

Again no one in seattle expects anything crazy out of him. He doesnt need to come be a star running back he needs to pick up some first downs and run it in from the 1.

True.

Whats Up?

ahhh so the story develops...

Julius went to Seattle because he is going to START. Based on John Clayton's report Alexander is going to be released soon to clear about 5 million in cap space.

Makes sense.

But whats the penalty? It must be pretty big.

GM's, if your RB is old and asking for a new contract and whats a large on e and a bigger one, dont sign him. Your better off with an 2nd tier RB than a over the hill RB.

Let's see what Chargers give eventually to LT.

well LT had the worst year of his career at 28 so if he has any shot at a *BIG* contract he is gonna have to play out of his mind this year.

The only thing this is gonna start to do though is make young RB's demand huge contracts before they prove themselves. If AP has a sophmore year similar to his rookie campaign he needs to hold out for a HUGE contract that he can cash in on for multiple years instead of getting it when hes on the cusp of turning 30 getting paid for a year or 2 and getting cut.

D-McNabb and others will not be throwing the ball to Larry Fitzgerald. That distinction belongs to Kurt Warner and Matt Leinert. Fitz resigned with Arizona 4yrs for $40 million. It give them some room to look and sign for other free agents.
