Comparing Bledsoe to Brady is not even close.

Your talking about a good QB, to a QB that threw 50 TD's, and had one the best statistical season out there. And I'm not including the fact that Brady has already won 3 SB's, and has one of the best records out there for winning QB.

We all know if Brady starts to throw bricks, then Cassell would be made starter, buts illogical to think Brady will start to throw bricks when he hasn't shown any sort of degradation of his skills.

Well lets just hope that he does.

Throws bricks?

Why does it matter? Cassell will get a big contract from some team anyways.

No. Show decline in skills.

Personally, I hope he has played his last game. I mean it's not so bad, he has already won the MVP, 3 Super Bowls and has the record for TD's in a season. Can't he just retire? 😆

It's just as illogical to just hand him back the starting job. Make him win it back in training camp. If he is the QB you make him out to be, why not? What's he got to lose?

I'd stop now if I were you. Saying handing Brady back his job would be illogical is borderline ridiculous. So Cassell's one good season beats out Brady's 8 years of winning and record setting seasons.

It's nice to see the Saints get healthier so Brees can have more options. Colston and Shockey should give him plenty of help to make there final push for the playoffs, and they should get Bush back in time right in the leauge looks like its going to uphold Deuce's suspension.

I'd be interested to read the talk on this message board about Cassell after this Sunday's game.

If he continues his torrid streak, then all the talk about his greatness may at least be 10% valid.

If he gets destroyed, we can all admit that he is and will never be Tom Brady, because even though the Steelers defense is the real deal, I can guarantee you that Tom Brady could pick it apart.

And were not talking about one good season, more about 2 good games.

Done, you guys refuse to hear or acknowledge what I am saying.

The Bushless Saints' offense once again looked terrible. 13

You sound like Forumcrew.

I was very surprised at how dominant the offense looked. Hoping they can pull it together for another game, because Bush may possibly miss next week as well.

I know what your saying and I totally disagree with you.

Barring a huge downside of Brady's skill, the starting QB job next year is his.

No try outs, have to work for his job again. It's his.

Because it was sarcastic or correct? I usually try for both.

I understand what you are saying RJ..

The Patriots could very well cut ties with Brady or tell him to prove his healthiness..

This may wind up being a situation where the Pats go with Cassell and cut all ties with their 3 time superbowl champ or they could let Cassell go via free agency or trade him and let the chips fall where they may with Tom Brady..

Pesonally I will not be at all surprised if the Pats cut Brady and keep Cassell

What?????

The guy's leg didn't mysteriously get cut off. He had two knee operations.

I guarantee you that if was Brady was cut, every single team not named the Colts would go after him, and watch their new QB prosper.

Let go Cassell, only teams that need a QB would go after him.

My dear lord.....All I am saying is that Brady should be forced to prove he is 100% ready to go and up to form, that's all. If not, and Cassel is healthy and has a kickass finish to this season, AND has a good postseason, Cassel should be the starter. That's so blatantly obvious it's ridiculous. Look at what Green Bay put Favre through, I applaud their vigilance in not just handing him back the starting job.

Dude, you dont have to say " All I'm saying"

I know what your saying, and I think your wrong. Favre example is a bad one. Your talking about a guy who retired, then unretired, and then retired again after the Packers went with Rodgers. He had the ability to throw numerous INT's. He would of been the starter if Favre didnt retire 3 times.

Brady on the otherhand, got injured, doesnt throw INT's and has the second highest QB rating of all time. Cassell had two good games.

Favre retired UNINJURED, he returned HEALTHY. Brady blew out his knee. If anything, Brady has more to prove than Favre would have had he opted to win the job back in training camp.

Ah man.

Your point is still not valid. It's not comparable to the situation with Brady. He got hurt, like everybody else in this league. He had the best season of his career.

He has nothing to prove. It's his job. If you want to argue that he should have to work for his QB job, that's ****ing obvious. Every year, the team looks at positions and if somebody is better than him, then he will get the job.

But the point is that Brady is much better than Cassell. It's his job to lose and not win back.

Favre on the other hand, left the team, and then decided to come back, and then left again. They already had another QB and instead of going with the Favre freakshow, they decided they didn't want him back. BUT, Favre would of kept the starting position if he didn't retire.

So in the end, Favre wasn't even on the team, while Brady is. If Brady did the same thing, then maybe we can talk about it, but he didn't. He is still the best QB on that team and doesn't have to prove anything.

If you want argue if he has to work during training camp, then fine you win because its pretty ****ing obvious that any year, a player has to show he can still play during the offseason.

But if two games against the Jets, and Dolphins (we shouldn't include the first 9-10 games where he was adequate, or the fact Brady has played extremely well for 6 years) is any indication that Cassell is better than Brady, then **** it, screw him, get rid of him. Trade him to the Lions and go with Cassell.

This shouldn't even be a discussion at all. Why don't we have this conversation about Manning, he had 2 knee operations a month before the season started. Where was all the talk about Sorgi? He played the past 3 season where he played the last 40 minutes in the last game.

Wow...

Tom Brady: 1 NFL MVP, 2 Super Bowl MVPs, 3 Super Bowl Rings, 4 Pro Bowls, NFL Record for most TD's in a season. Though they didn't win the Super Bowl, led his team to a 16 - 0 regular season, no one has done that since the 72 Dolphins. Over 25,000 career passing yards, 197 TD's to 86 INT's, career QB rating of 92.9. His post-season QB rating is an 88.0.

Matt Cassell: No starts at QB during his time at USC, his only college start came at TE. No NFL starts up to this year.

No f*ckin way does Brady have to WIN the starting QB job next year. If he comes into camp and it's apparent that his knee is holding him back then MAYBE Cassell gets the nod. You don't just replace a player like Brady because he had a season ending injury and his backup is doing what the backup should be doing, winning games.
