We just recently stopped being the murder capitol of the U.S. It's been dubbed Killadelphia by some & the poverty rate's higher here than in any major city. Let's just say we're worse off than any city w/a team left in the playoffs.

lol 1 out of 4 now your reaching, I also just saw an article that ranked Baltimore well above Philly in worst cities to live in. Bottom line is no one is going to feel sad for the people of Philly and want to give them a 2nd title in 1 season. The people of NO after Katrina yes, Philly no.

OK, now it's time to predict Monday's analysis of the game which, as every football fan knows, rarely has anything to do with the pre-game matchup. If anything it has more to do with the officiating.

The refs for this week's matchup are:
BAL/PIT Bill Carollo
PHI/ARZ Walt Anderson

Anderson reffed the Ravens' Super Bowl win and Carollo was the ref when TB was playing STL in the '99 NFCCG, and Bert Emmanuel had control of the ball but because the nose of the ball hit the ground, it was ruled incomplete, thus creating the "Bert Emmanuel Rule." (yes, I got that from the Internet). I generally like Carollo because he has Phil Luckett on his crew, whom I also like. (Note: Luckett was the one who botched the Steelers/Lions coin flip game, so for me to like him says a lot). Watch me eat my words on Monday. 😱

At least it's not Scott Green or Ron Winter. Those are my 2 least favorite refs.

So here's hoping we get 2 fairly officiated games. But if we don't, let me go ahead and provide a "bank" for everyone to pull from on Monday as we break down the games:

"Wasn't enough visual evidence"
"Horrible call"
"Should have been overturned"
"If the refs didn't call the penalties, they would have won."
"Ball was uncatchable"
"If they didn't make that bad block-in-the-back call on the opening kickoff, they would have won."
"Refs gave that one away with that false start penalty in the first quarter."
"Being held on every play"
"How can you call (insert penalty) in the Conference Championship Game?"
"That was clearly pass inteference and the WR would have caught the ball"
"(Insert Ref) should be beaten to death"
"That was not holding"

And last but certainly not least...
"(Team 1) would have won if the refs didn't call BS (insert random penalty from any point in game) and turn (Team 2) into cheaters because as we all know, (Team 1) would have TOTALLY refused to accept the bad call." 😉

I've actually stop watching the games and I don't really care who wins or not.

As long as its not the Pats.

Really, Smas? So what are you doing on Sunday? Shoveling your front steps? Or are you planning the menu for Obama's inauguration dinner?

You go from 1-15 to beating out an 11 win Patriot team to win a division and go to the playoffs you made HUGE progress I dont care if you had the 32nd ranked sos.

I suppose I can't argue with the numbers. There was definite improvement but, it's hard not to improve from last year.

Still, despite the record, it was only a step in the right direction. If you disregard the sos you're being ridiculous and while we're on it, they weren't far from having the easiest either. They had the 30th. I'd say that's a factor in their season record especially if you only edge out some opponents that you should stomp, i.e. Kansas, St. Louis and Seattle.

Gruden fired by Bucs after 7 seasons

The Buccaneers Friday said that they have fired head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Bruce Allen.

"We will be forever grateful to Jon for bringing us the Super Bowl title, and we thank Bruce for his contributions to our franchise," Buccaneers Co-Chairman Joel Glazer said in a statement. "However after careful consideration, we feel that this decision is in the best interest of our organization moving forward."

In college SoS has a big meaning to me, in the NFL there is a lot of parity and seriously any team can win any game, except the Lions.

Yeah, "any given day" holds truer to the NFL.

Well, skiing in Montreal.

I just have stuff to do now and the teams don't really mean much to me and I get footballed out.

Did anyone see the Cardinal Challenge that got denied after the kickoff? The ball was clearly in bounds; it touched green and then bounced back. The ref was just flexing his muscles. In fact refs often turn down challenges even when they're wrong just because they don't want to admit their mistake.

Matt Leinart is about to be a 2 time National Champion, Heisman trophy winner and a Super Bowl champion! How many times has this ever happened?

Unbelievable.

Break a leg Kurt Warner!

Even if he doesn't, it still counts if he doesn't start, right?

I guess. But I wouldn't call him the SB champ because he rode the bench.

I would say two national championships, Heisman trophy winner and a guy on a the SB team.

Typical Eagles loss. face-plain The Eagles weren't as clutch as the Phillies.

The ref was wrong on the call but right on not challenging. Refs do not turn down challenges it is not up to them to allow a challenge or not, certain plays simply are not able to be challenged. The way it was ruled on the field made it a play that could not be challenged. Hopefully that is something they will address this off season because it has come up a few times.

"Leave Pittsburgh to me."

I'm rooting for the Cardinals in this one. Larry Fitz is the man.
