I just read that it's a 2011 draft pick, not 2010 draft pick.
I understand that he was probably going to be let go this year anyways due to a new contract but what's the point? Your team is Superbowl ready and losing your starting DE with rookies replacing him doesn't make sense.
And for a pick two years from now.....I would understand if it was the Raiders dealing Seymour to the Pats, but not vice versa. Considering the rookie contract that will be needed for that 2011 draft pick, Seymour is probably a deal.
Apparently she was very drunk, and Merriman was trying to prevent her from driving drunk.
Also, I've heard there's a good chance there will be a rookie signing limit by 2011, so we won't hear about these ridiculous contracts for rookies much longer, which is apparently why the Pats asked for a 2011 pick.
At least they're not the Broncos who, by virtue of their 2nd place finish last year, get exclusive dates with New England and Indianapolis that no one else in the AFC West was lucky enough to get.
I don't know who was rated as having the "toughest" schedule, but check out nine of Denver's upcoming losses:
NY Giants
Dallas
Philadelphia
San Diego
San Diego
Baltimore
Pittsburgh
New England
Indianapolis
But Bronco fans, never fear. Your first three games are against the Bengals, Browns, and Raiders!! Just like last year, you can fool everyone in week 4 into thinking you're actually a contender.
Brutal for Denver, they do at least get Dallas, NE, Pitt, and the Giants at home though.
Seattle has to go to Indy, Dallas, Minnesota, Green Bay. Would have been nice to get Chicago and Detroit on the road but end up with the top 2 in the North instead. Really though a pretty decent schedule. Although the 1PM EST games do tend to give them trouble.
NFL's Mentoring Program allows Lions to spend day with pros.

I am not a fan of the cowboys at all but I really dont see them being much worse if any at all. Roy Williams is plenty capable of 80 catches 1000 yards 8 TD's which is plenty from their #1 WR. They have 2 very good offensive TE's and couple decent complimentary WR's and a sick run game.
And Richard Seymour still not reporting is hilarious.
That's ridiculous.
They have no reputation. I'm not asking for an Super Bowl bid, but 6-10. I'm sorry that's very low in my opinion. I'm expecting 9-7, or 10-6. They have a good team.
I'm expecting Williams to have a season that Forum suggested. He played for the Lions and then was traded to a team half way through the season who had another ego driven WR in Owens. You cannot expect him to be top of the line in that situation.
Everybody says that NFL is "what you have done for me lately" league and a player who had a good year two years ago means shit this year. I tend to agree that might be the case but usually is based on a older player like Marvin Harrison. But it's getting younger and younger so a guy like Williams, whose 28, it's easy to think he might be able to have a similar season like he did two years ago. Especially considering he has a pretty good QB and a good offense. But he doesn't suck. He might be overrated but does not suck.
