He got 14.5 mill guaranteed as well thats sick for the tenth pick..

And I hate to judge the new monday night team already but I think its going to be a flop, I didnt watch the whole game but Tonys drop in lines were very sad of what I did catch. Joe and Tony K have no chemistry, I hope it pans out Because listening to these guys will take all the love for football I have to watch..

Our first pre-season game, and we spanked the Super Bowl Champs!

It was nice to see it in the new arena too.

Go Cardinals!

its sad when your team wins so few games you have to celebrate pre-season wins.

lol just joking of course but that is assuming you arnt being serious either.

How is the new arena?

It's nice, and a good idea that The Glendale Arena is indoors, considering that here in Phoenix triple digits can linger until 10 pm. shock

they must have quite the air conditioning bill in that joint.

If he works out like he is suppose to then heck whatever.

I think people forgot about Lienart this year in the draft because of Reggie Bush and Vince Young.

The guy does have 37-2 record as starter plus the stats to back that up also.

I think he will do rather well in Arizona, and give some much needed stability to the franchise. That's if Dennis Green doesnt **** it up.

Staying with a crappy NFC team for Tuesday...

GREEN BAY

Boy, did things sure head south for this proud city in a hurry. Last year Favre didn't have to make any excuses for the injury pestilence that plagued their team...anybody remotely in tune with the league knew that. That being said, they have a few more injuries (OL, I believe) and if last weekend's game was any indication of things to come, even A.J. Hawk ain't gonna save them.

Hawk not only got beat, but blown away by Gates on a crossing patten - meh, it's only one play, but I'd like to know the defensive scheming behind Rivers beating them on a TD pass to the end zone to Jackson and having it wiped away by a penalty...and then they go right back and do the same play again to Jackson again for a score. It's only preseason, I know, but they don't look very good. Okay, maybe a game or two better in their weak-ass conference.

Not many people would like to see Favre go out this year with a repeat performance. Except Bears fans.

Prediction: 6-10 (have a feeling there will be some emotional wins in December *wink wink*)

Green Bay

Stength: Aside from a couple of good players like Driver, Kampman, GB and Barnett, this team is pretty inadequete. Favre could be good this year, or turn into the player he was last year. Manual and Woodson do give some good depth for DB, but hell, its Woodson.

Weaknesses: Ummmm mostly everybody sucks. Too many problems.

Prediction: 4-12

Somebody - it may have been Michael Huff for the Raiders - said that Charles Woodson was his idol in recent years. Then, a newspaper took his statement and added, "The Raiders better hope he plays like Rod, not Charles."

you guys are forgetting this is the most talented team favre has ever played with.

Id like to point out that the Packers could have been 9-7 last year.
5 of their loses were by 3 points or less. And 2 of them were by 1 point.
Yea I know they still lost them, but they were still playing teams close a lot. Except for the Ravens GB was never really just masacured last year and they were the most injured team out there.

And check out that schedule this year.... If these guys put it together there are a LOT of games they could win.

WK DATE OPPONENT
1 Sun, Sep 10 Chicago
2 Sun, Sep 17 New Orleans
3 Sun, Sep 24 at Detroit
4 Mon, Oct 2 at Philadelphia
5 Sun, Oct 8 St. Louis
6 BYE WEEK
7 Sun, Oct 22 at Miami
8 Sun, Oct 29 Arizona
9 Sun, Nov 5 at Buffalo
10 Sun, Nov 12 at Minnesota
11 Sun, Nov 19 New England
12 Mon, Nov 27 at Seattle
13 Sun, Dec 3 NY Jets
14 Sun, Dec 10 at San Francisco
15 Sun, Dec 17 Detroit
16 Thu, Dec 21 Minnesota
17 Sun, Dec 31 at Chicago

11 of those games are winnable. No I dont think they will win all 11, but 11 are winnable games. Thats counting the 2 games with Chicago, and then Miami, NE, and Seattle as garunteed losses. And who knows maybe they could pull an upset against one of them. Its definitely possible that behind Favre this team will win some damn games this year.

so anybody here agree that Marty Shittenheimer of the Chargers is a moron? 😄 another question, anybody here agree that the k.c cheifs SHOULD be called The Kansas City Clowns? 😆

Know what?

Do we really have to read this again for the second year in a row? Or even three years.

We all know that you hate the coach of the Chargers and that you dont like Kansas City.

Anyways....did anybody see the 49ers vs Bears game?
Alex Smith looked pretty impressive while Rex Grossman looked like unimpressive.

he is and he isnt. Hes still on the pup list and he may or may not play at all this year.

As far as having the best running game... KC was 4th last year as far as yards go.

148.9 pergame 4.6 per carry.

1-3 are Atl, Denver, Seattle. Seattle and KC are a toss up they were very close this year and its basicly a battle of alexander vs johnson. ATL is gonna stay #1 They use a 2 back system very well and also Vick. Denver also likes to use a platoon of RB's and run a lot. KC will be a top running team, but i wouldnt put my money on #1.

Dude even SMAS understood that I dont hate the AFC west.Until marty came along, the chargers were always one of my favorite teams. When Marty is gone,I will be a huge chargers fan.I just hate marty the moron and the kansas city clowns football team. Thats always been a pretty accurate statement about the raiders I agree. They always get off to a hot start in fade down the stretch and become the oakland faders and especially after losing the superbowl so badly they deserve to be called that. Naw I have always loved the Broncos because they always have beat the Clowns in important games like the 97 playoff game at arrowhead where everybody thought the clowns that year would beat the broncos and go to the superbowl. 😆 actually they would have if Marty the moron wasnt the coach.Marty the moron did me a HUGE favor though by not starting Gannon the Cannon and instead started Elvis Garbage in that game.LOL.,Gannon only went out after that and set all kinds of NFL records with the Raiders 😄 thats Marty the moron for you. 😄 mark my word,as long as Lamar Hunt is the owner they will never make it to the superbowl.Hunt should have fired that jackass carl Peterson years ago.Hunt doesnt care about not making it to the superbowl.he only cares about filling the seats. By the way,I hate Al davis as well. He's an A-Hole as well for moving the raiders once before to LA.But unlike Hunt,I CAN respect him because he at least hates losing and hates not making it to the superbowl and winning it all.Again Hunt doesnt give a rats ass. Last time I checked the Broncos had won two superbowls and the oakland faders were in one a few years back.when was the last time the kansas city clowns made it to the superbowl huh? 😆

What's up with all this Clown talk and referring to Kansas City? The Clowns play in Cleveland, man. Oh, heard a joke when I watched Health Inspector this weekend. One guy's diarrhea is about to burst and before he runs to the toilet, he says, "I'm about to take the Cleveland Browns to the Super Bowl."

Chicago

Don't ask me why, but I was not surprised one bit when they put together those good seasons in 2001 and 2005 and went belly-up in the first playoff game at home. This is not a good football team, IMO, but I think they will win the division by default. It's too bad they got Griese, because now they have 3 QB's with starting experience, but they can only choose one. And they will probably choose the wrong one. When he sucks, they will choose another wrong one. I don't know who it is, but I have a feeling the best QB will not play at the right time.

Granted, I watched about 8 Lion games last year and 3 Bears games in their entirety (just worked out that way), and I've heard somewhere along the line that this was a good defense. Well, against the Lions they looked average, against the Steelers they looked like a College team, and against the Panthers they looked like a high school team that had never seen a pass attempt before. Please, spare me the regular season stats. Not interested. 2 of their biggest games of 2005, and the defense doesn't show up.

I will say that I personally root for Adrian Peterson because he went to Georgia Southern-my dad's school. That's about it.

Prediction: 7-9, and the first winners of a division with a losing record in the 16-game era.
