Then wth was it?

Though Seprioth's overall power is pretty impressive, will it help him in this battle alone? Ganondorf could entrap him inside one of those crystals, and we saw that a fainted Ganondorf could break the whole tower, while Seprioth's mindpower was only enough to break the top of a building. And the fact that it requires the evil's bane or something that disbands evil to kill him, Seprioth should not be able to do it.
That part about Ganondorf breaking the tower when he fainted, realistically, sound more like his will was keeping it in place, so that when he fainted his will broke.

Nah, Sephiroth completely out classes ganondorf, its a stalemate

I've always had to question the fact thyat the building snaps because of his "mindpower" at the start you see something that resembles black lifestream coming from the sky, i'd say thats hwat breaks the building

Actually, Zelda remarks that "ganon is using the last of his power to collaps the tower", so he did destroy it by his will.

Black lifestream? Huh?

Well this doesn't really matter, thing is that Ganondorf cannot be killed by Seph, but I don't really mind if Seprioth survives one way or another either. But Ganondorf ain't going down, that's all I'm saying.

I see, i never played that game

Well it looks similars it not, i'm not entirely sure what it is.

I guess Sephiroth cannot kill ganondorf, but he could certainly make his existance painful

The whole battle is GANNONDORF versus Sephiroth. There isn't anything that says that the Master Sword is the only thing that can defeat Gannondorf. The Triforce is a neutral item in Hyrule. It only obeys whomever possesses it. To me that gives no credibilty to the claim that Gannondorf himself is invincible to all types of attacks minus the Sword of evil's bane. Similarily, There's no garuntee that Sephiroth is half as powerful as anyone thinks he is, because Professor Hojo injected Jenova cells directly into him when he was just an embryo in his birth mother, Lucrecia.

For all we know, without those Jenova cells, he probably would have been as fragile as young wimpy Cloud. But we cannot assume that about Sephiroth. It's difficult to know exactly how strong either one of these two men are when pitted against each other. But I believe most would say that Sepiroth has shown stronger power. But I think Gannondorf has been more calculating.

Still, if this was GANNON, then I'd side with Nintendo. But since this is GANNONDORF, I still say Sephiroth takes the battle... and the cake.

Painful? How?

Inability to even scratch on someone = Inability to inflict pain and/or hurt someone.

Actually it is described pretty well that it's only done so with the master sword. But that is yes, because it is the most powerful evil's bane in Hyrule, however, I don't see any kind of light magic with power to instantly dispell evil made from good gods in Seprioth's weilding.

Wait, wait, just re-read your post. You mean that you don't belive that we should give Ganondorf the power of the triforce because he doesn't naturally posses it? Well that really depends, if the creator of this thread wants Ganondorf to be in the state where he posesses the triforce then yes, Ganondorf does. If he says this is Ganondorf before, then he is without it.....

And I'm not sure, but Ganondorf before the triforce could probably not be disbanded only by light (maybe, maybe not), but afterwards he still survives. Remember the end of WW where Link stabs his sword (after a jump of probably 10m) into Ganondorf's forehead? Well that would surley kill a normal person, and Ganondorf just gave away his triforce part to create the full one, so he does not have that in his posession. Yet he turns to stone, only because the sword seals him. Now if light was not the only thing to kill him/stop him with without the triforce, then why did he turn into stone without it instead of just dying by a sword in his head?

ganondorf has been a villain in many thousands yearsand fought many legendary heroes... he takes the villainvictory.

for the fight, i dunno sephiroth very much in combat...
but he cant hurt ganondorf. that technically ends it

Possibly because it had a E rating 🙄

Still made it to the top of the "10 most brutal death's in gaming". 😛

Okay, since i have already posted about the battle I'm moving my thoughts to the villain victory

I'm really torn here, as a person i prefer the old stuff, and since Ganondorf is more conventional villain he initially takes the biscuit. He ticks all the basic boxes, bigger, cunning, evil and powerful. But He fails to really mystify me like Sephiroth does. I mean to be fair i have only played OoT of the Zelda series, but Ganondorf only had one supprise, and even that was not unexpected (foreseeing your plan to beat him to the triforce). Whereas Sephiroths plan mystified me until you see the murals on the wall, then you realise how truly insane he is. Then he plays the twist with Cloud, revealing he knows exactly how to use the jenova cells to destroy peoples lives.

Okay i think 've ranted enough, all in all the Kingdom Heart appearences push Sephiroth over the edge. Of the orginal games their both magnificent villians.

Yup, my favourite apperance so far of Ganondorf is Wind Waker. He almost seems like a new person, he even seems sad at some moments, like this was not really what he wanted to become, but his desire and his actions cannot be changed.
