The Battle Bar, Our Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

According to spellcheck, "She almost felt like she could feel everyones eyes on her." is not a gramatically correct statement, emphasis on the "everyones". What would be the gramatically correct way of saying "She almost felt as if everyone in the group was staring at her." Without saying... that?

"Everyone was staring; she could almost feel their gazes pressing against her."

"Everyone was staring; she could almost feel their eyes pressing against her."

"Everyone was staring; she swore she could feel their gazes pressing against her."

"She could feel their eyes on her, she just knew it."

"She could feel them staring at her."

"She thought she could feel them staring at her."

And DS I read the excerpt. I'll have my thoughts on it later.

This is for you, Z.

Jesus Christ Gideon, you actually watch that shit?

I do.

Alan Shore is one of the most compelling, multi-faceted character I've ever come across.

Clearly that video doesn't show off his stronger aspects. Or rather, anything beyond complete shite.

Also his actors bad.

Given your established interests, I'll pretty much take any insult from you as a validation of everything I've said about him.

Neph
Also his actors bad.

So's your English, which is amusingly ironic when one considers where you live. 😐

And it could be worse, he could have been portrayed by Michael C. Hall. 😬

Oh no you're right, sexually harassing a female colleague is totally awesome and compelling. I'm guessing the multi-faceted part comes in when he starts harassing men as well.

Michael C. Hall doesn't deliver his lines like hes going to leap from my screen and start devouring my furnature in as flambouyant a way as possible. Its like he's going for insufferable genius but all he can manage is insufferable. And gay.

Neph

It's part of his charm.

Well actually....

You are mocking flamboyancy? crylaugh

Mr. Hall delivers his lines like a robot. At least Anthony Daniels is entertaining. uhuh

Neph
Its like he's going for insufferable genius but all he can manage is insufferable.

And he does a damn good job of it, thankyouverymuch!

Neph, you're in the wrong here.

(Reducing a character to his sexual orientation and then using that as a criticism is pretty much textbook bigotry.

Z.
Neph, you're in the wrong here.

Given that his viewpoint opposes mine, this was never in question.
{Did you ever manage to watch Spader on The Practice, btw?}

Considering he's shown considerable love for Twilight and anything written by Joss Whedon as golden, you're surprised?

{Haven't seen much of The Practice; season one is Dad's birthday present, though.}

(Firefly was good but Dollhouse was crap.)

Well it's good to see you've abandoned the practice of dishonesty. Your dedication to the truth is most appreciated.

Spoiler:
You see what I did there?
SM
and anything written by Joss Whedon as goldn, you're surprised?

This is fairly true.

Well I'm sure you'll agree that I'm rather easy to charm, so you'll realise what it means when even I am not charmed.

Bluh.

And again, if even I'm commenting on it that should tell you something.

He... does? I've gotta tell ya, robot isn't what I'd say about him. If anything I thought he was too emotional for a character thats as close to a robot as possible.

Nah.

Z.

I wish you wouldn't have told me what I was getting for my birthday. {Take it back, Spader doesn't appear 'til season 8 and so the previous 7 seasons are unwatchable.}

Z.
(Firefly was good but Dollhouse was crap.)

Firefly was good, but too short-lived to surpass Whedon's true masterpiece: Angel. Dollhouse wasn't as entertaining, but had its merits.

I'm bigotted against sexual harassers?

oh noes!

Yes, your dedication to Christopher Nolan is indicative of unusually low standards. excellent

Z.
Neph, you're in the wrong here.

^ But when members of the KotOR II fan brigade began to dissent, you know you have a problem.

Neph
Bluh.

That's not what you said last night.

Neph

That you are unusually disagreeable today? Are we approaching the anniversary of Mr. Ledger's untimely demise? I'm not especially delighted, so I don't think so. uhuh

^ Well said.
