Why? This is interesting to read.

"Agree to disagree" is what bitches who will never be man enough to be lawyers say.

Yeah, f*ck that shit. I'll make Neph agree with me or he'll die trying.

But later. Too sleepy now.

Neph is cute. :3

I of course say that, as it is late as well.

I must retire - Adieu.

No need to be ashamed of your overwhelming homosexuality. Let it out, Zamp will support you.

With his penis.

Seriously, that thing could pump iron. It's hella cray cray.

More like bisexuality, actually. And I already know I have Sidious 66's silent vote of support. 😮‍💨

Good, I'll be looking forward to having a penis to spot me, whilst I bench the combined weight of two bodies with my own. 😮‍💨

While you're here Tempest, I should tell you that I bought a copy of The Jedi Path recently. Of particular note is the section on The Exploration Corps, wherein is detailed the art of Force Navigation. According to the text, the technique is described thus: 'A technique that uses outward-directed meditation to smooth the tangles of hyperspace and penetrate territories believed to be off-limits.' This is underlined and a note is made next to it from Obi-Wan saying 'I have seen Master Saesee Tin do this.'

So I guess Tiin does not have lightspeed reflexes after all. The technique is used to 'smooth the tangles of hyperspace.'

The New Essential Guide to Vessels and Vehicles
Each Jedi connects to the Force in his or her own way, and Tiin's Force abilities allowed him to focus his thoughts to control his starfighter even while traveling through hyperspace. While flying at lightspeed, Tiin had no need of a nav computer. He increased the Sharp Spiral's performance by taking hyperspace shortcuts and flying dangerously close to mass shadows.

Try harder, bro.

The Jedi Path came out after The New Essential Guide to Vessels and Vehicles and thus overrules it.

That Obi-Wan witnessed Tiin "smooth the tangles of hyperspace" doesn't preclude Tiin's ability to "control his starfighter" through hyperspace.

Try harder.

There is another quote supporting this, that this is in fact how Saesee truly uses the technique:

"When I was a Padawan, many of my fellow students believed that my inherited telepathic abilities gave me an unfair advantage in my education. It is true that I never had difficulty in communicating my thoughts or comprehending the thoughts of others, but I do not believe that this made my education any easier. For unlike my peers, I was a natural receiver of thoughts, a condition that I—not then able to organize incoming thoughts or consistently contain my own deliberations—often considered a hindrance at times, an embarrassment. I will not share details, but allow you to imagine. Had I been raised on Iktotch, where societies are designed to accommodate telepaths, my circumstances still would have been awkward, for my Force sensitivity would have set me apart.

I did my best to seal off my mind from others. I found that I could home in on the minds of specific beings if I maintained eye contact. I also learned to incorporate my abilities during a fight.

In combat, telepaths do have a distinct edge. Even if one fights by instinct and reflex, most cannot stop themselves from emitting monosyllabic thoughts that project their next movement. During my training bouts at the Jedi Temple, my opponents unwittingly revealed their every move, allowing me that crucial fraction of a moment that enabled me to be the one who would remain standing. Understandably, my fellow Jedi students began to keep their distance.

I came to the attention of the Jedi Master Omo Bouri, a Wol Cabbashite who, for reasons I could not fathom, selected me as his Padawan. I had never encountered a Wol Cabbashite before. Master Omo's cognitive brain, as opposed to the one that controlled his digestive tasks, was so highly evolved and alien from mine that his musings were often indecipherable. To communicate, he used phonemic pulses of energy with syntactic contours in a magnetic field that he exuded and controlled with his tongue. At first, I couldn't understand his thoughts or a single word he said. It was a most refreshing experience.

I'd thought I knew more than I needed to know about telepathy, but Master Omo showed me that I was wrong. He showed me how to use the Force to isolate my own brain waves, intercept stray thoughts, and screen dozens of minds at once. How to whisper across space, yell without noise, keep secrets, and sift through layer of lies and buried memories to uncover the truth. How to seek out information from the stars themselves, allowing one to astrogate a starship through lightspeed without a nav computer.

What's more, he taught me the meaning of conviction and dedication to the Jedi Order.

What path might my life had taken had not Omo Bouri chosen me as his Padawan? I do not care to speculate, for I am certain any other path would have been far less engaging. And I would have been less of a Jedi."

That he is talking about telepathy in that paragraph supports the idea that controlling his ship through hyperspace requires no heightened reflexes. Your own quote says that the technique 'allowed him to focus his thoughts to control his starfighter'. My own quote says that he does this through meditation. All 3 quotes support the idea that it is a mental and not physical ability.

You're gay as **** dude.

nah I'm totes straight yo check it:

fvcking incredible

Y-you're not a cute chubby girl with a bouncing bosom?

I could be, for you baby. 😉

If he was cute he wouldn't be so bitter

Not at all. Your argument requires a divorce between the physical and the metaphysical; The Lord hath declared that divorce is a sin—and I am disinclined to permit an exception in this case.

That Tiin “focus[es] his thoughts” to “seek[s] out information from the stars themselves” is but one part of the equation. The second part is physically reacting to the information: he, not a computer, “control[s] his starfighter even while traveling through hyperspace”—travels that include taking “hyperspace shortcuts and flying dangerously close to mass shadows.” To paraphrase Han’s seminal caution of entering hyperspace without proper coordinates: Tiin has to avoid flying through stars (and asteroids, and planets, and other ships) or bouncing too close to a supernova. He has to process and react to this information at lightspeed.

Hell, even in the excerpt you provided from The Essential Guide to the Force, Tiin’s telepathic abilities afforded him an edge in combat—but only by providing “a crucial fraction of a moment that enabled me to be the one who would remain standing.”

In other words, your argument fails entirely to account for the outrageously sharp reactions that would require traveling through hyperspace.

Except that the quote says that he does this through meditation. You can't pilot a ship while meditating. 😉

No, the quote says it requires "outward-directed meditation" to smooth the tangles of hyperspace, not that flying through it requires meditation.
