While it was definitely well-made and the aliens were pretty cool, Hot Fuzz is still my favorite (liked the characters more).

I'd probably agree there. Hot Fuzz has to be one of the best written films I've ever seen. I don't think there's a wasted line in the whole thing.

I really liked the climax of World's End though.

Even though it's something of a 'trilogy' apparently, I do wish they'd do more of these genre-mix movies. The 'start with one thing, switch to another' format works really well, especially in their hands.
