LOL. Congrats, Crimzon.Schwarzenegger, for how long have you been bodybuilding?
EDIT - I bet you're not faster than me. 🙂
Thank you. 😄
And yeah, I hit insanely fast. I have darn good reflexes, too. Problem is, I'm bad on stamina and sustained power.
And in terms of sprinting speed, I'm good, but I'm not really, really good.
My reflexes own, hard. I had the fastest reaction time of the day at that science center in Seattle, where you have to hit the button right when the green (red?) lights start showing up. .085 seconds, fools, with the best time ever being .073. I'm mad skilled.
As far as martial arts training go, I'm a relative lightweight. Did Karate for a year and a half (seven to eight), and then TKD for about the same amount of time during eight and ninth grade. They were both pretty boring, so now I'm looking at judo and boxing, although I have to say I'm a decent grappler as it is, I just have no concept of effective knock-out locks. I only just learned the arm-bar and two chokeholds from the aforementioned cousin - who at 19 placed first in a West Coast wrestling competition - but my striking technique, speed, and power are good, the latter being on account of my disproportionately strong legs (in relation to my upper body).
IMO, it's one of the best, even though it's not reeeally considered a Martial Art. The reason why I don't train other important Arts is because in Ninjutsu they teach you not only one, but many aspects of many different Martial Arts and techniques, such as the Art of Blades (swordsmanship). They also teach you several ways to disarm or injur your opponent with a single blow, and the battle aspect of Ninjutsu consists mainly on aerial kicks and quick punches. The key to Ninjutsu is speed. You gotta be real fast and sneaky. They don't teach you how to run horizontally on walls, though.

I don't know. Karate is pretty generic, honestly, but it's a cool thing if you get into the advanced levels and all. It's not fancy, with aerial and acrobatic maneuvers, but more based on the balance of the body, shifting your weight into the strikes, etc. My kicks aren't exactly top-notch, y'see, but I can do this sort of 'push kick' thing EXTREMELY well; I also have fast handwork and good control of feints. So, yeah, I have very good 'explosive power'- meaning I'm really good if I rush in and start punching at mega speeds. My stamina's on the low side, though, so if the fight drags, I'm f*cked. I have a hard time pulling off face-level kicks, too.
Overall, I have a fighting style that's almost entirely based on speed and feints; one of my favorite moves is to punch someone 3 or 4 times in the head and then nail them with a kick to the stomach. I also have very powerful low kicks, but sadly, that's not allowed in a tournament.
I got second place in a national competition once, though. Beat a guy who's a head taller than me.
@Valerian: Sounds AWESOME, really. Does it require extreme acrobatics? Anyway, it sounds like my type, even if aerial kicks aren't exactly my style.
It does require acrobatics to an extended degree, but I wouldn't call it extreme. Unless you want to be a totally kick-ass Master Ninja, that is. 🥷
EDIT - And yeah, horizontally running of walls would be badass. But hey, they do teach you how to increase the height of your jumps by at least 1 more metre, to improve your jumping style (giving you the ability to jump much lengthier lengths), to run up a wall (at least four long steps before falling down or doing a backflip), and how to prevent injuries when falling from high points.

So you can fight like a ninja? Oh my god, that's awesome.
Obviously, some of the things the character from Ninja Gaiden does are impossible, like the handling of his weapons. But some acrobatics are possible, yes, and I can manage to perform a few of them. Not to THAT level, of course. No current Ninja in the world can perform those abilities at his level.
Well, you can actually run up walls if you're skilled enough, as well as landing with a backflip. Not the style of backflip he does, though. A shorter, less complex one is possible. Some of the jumps he performs are doable. Very few, but some are. Also, the only weapon he wields in the game that can be used in almost exactly the same way in the real world, are the Nunchucks.
