http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34846465/ns/politics-more_politics/If this is not an absolute case of a representative NOT CARING what the people who are actually being represented want, i have never heard of one. Basically, they are telling the people of Mass: If you don't want this bill, tough, we are going to keep YOU...R REPRESENTATIVE from voting on it.
I don't really have a dog in this health bill fight, i don't want it required, but that is about it, BUT this move is shaking the very foundations of our government. The representatives of the people are supposed to vote the way that the people they represent WANT THEM TOO. Blocking whoever wins this election from voting is blocking half the state of Massachusetts from being represented when they vote on a bill that affects them. Its wrong. Its taxation without representation. where have we heard that before? If you are an American, this should anger you no matter WHAT side of the debate you are on. Next time it could be you whose voice is being ignored.
What do you expect? The Democrats already bought Nebraska's vote, now they're going to stall with this one. Pelosi, who is one of the dumbest people in existence, keeps telling us America wants Obamacare. I tried to find a poll, any poll that suggests the majority of Americans want Obamacare as opposed to some kind of healthcare reform. I think it was something like 60-40 or 70-30 when you average it out, opposing Obamacare. I'm wondering who the Democrats work for exactly, because it's not the people. If they're going to stall, fine. The republican prosecutors can go to court with the bought Nebraska vote and declare it unconstitutional.

Communism is for those without a desire to fail. Everyone else can go kill themselves. Who is John Galt? (and so on and so forth)
Please, don't mention anything relating to Ayn Rand. There is a reason you read her and High School and then later learn why she sucks in college.
That being said.
True communism is an exercise in an impossibility. Hence, communism is for people with a desire to fail.
LOL@Public option. That won't exist in this country, at least not in our lifetimes.. But has anyone else noticed the progression of events regarding Healthcare reform?
It started out with provisions of paramount importance. Then slowly, one by one, these provisions were thrown out in order to quickly pass this bill. The whole point of Obamacare(public option), was flushed down the toilet(thank g-d). Now Obama wants the House Democrats to yield on "key issues". So I ask you, what the hell is this healthcare reform anyways? It pretty much looks nothing like the original bill that swept through the House. It looks like Obama and his lackeys Reid and Pelosi are just trying to pass SOME kind of healthcare reform, regardless of specifics. I don't think they realize that Obamacare isn't supported by the majority, and this new bill is supported even less. I hope Brown wins Kennedy's senate seat so the Republicans can create their filibuster.

What is this a picture of?
Spoiler:
It's a picture of a woman. I suggest you take that picture, and learn about the opposite sex because who knows, maybe one day you'll be attracted to them.
Socrates claims that all ignorance is evil. Lets see where that leads us if we take the standpoint of a hardline empiricist.
1. All ignorance is the absence of knowledge.
2. All absence of knowledge is evil.
3. All knowledge is experience.
4. All ignorance is the absence of experience.
5. All absence of experience is evil.
6. Therefore, to avoid being evil, we should experience everything.

Forgive me Veneficus.. Philosophy class was a lifetime ago and I don't have the brainpower to keep up with the mental masturbation. With that said, the conclusion to those premises just sounds...Wrong.

The conclusion is unsound, although the form of the argument is valid.
I was playing around with pure empiricism, which claims that everything we know is based off sense data and that nothing can be learned a priori (I would disagree, but thats another topic entirely) and Socrates' statement that all ignorance was evil.
This is the kind of stuff I do when I'm bored.
