Look, i'm on the bandwagon that islam shouldn't be tolerated and we should be wary of them and watch them carefully, but I've also had my opinion of muslims changed by actually meeting a few who I don't believe could perform terrorist acts if they needed to.

It was actually random pictures, nothing more. I have a few muslim friends who consider radical Islam a giant facepalm.

I mean i don't disagree. Anyone who says "muslim-hate" is some form of racism is an idiot. Muslims chose their religion same as anyone else, it's not something they're stuck with. IMHO it's like telling the world you want to be feared as a terrorist :/ especially those white people who go pseudo-muslim just to be P.C.

I know plenty of Muslims that are good people, and I'm pretty sure that there are plenty that are bad (such as a lot of terrorists) as well. There's good and bad people present in any religion I know of.

Maybe he means that a racist believes one ethnicity is inherently below another, whereas bigotry is just about being an a-hole to somebody else that is different than the bigot. (*Pulls his good 'ol Webster's dictionary out*)

Religion is a pragmatic enterprise, adapting and fluctuating to the social and emotional needs of its adherents. A meme doesn't survive long if it can't adapt. Islam simply needs a universal second enlightenment so they can reinterpret their faith and adapt it to modern world and dispose of the barbaric aspects of their religion. A good number of them already have, but Islam is still in that difficult transition stage. The attitudes of several of the major Islamic governments don't help either.

Hey man, I'm trying to remain optimistic that Islam will get its shit together and dump the barbaric garbage. They breed like rabbits so I like to think that by the time I'm in my 60s and 70s and looking towards a transhuman future I don't have to worry about a bunch of religious nuts.

Yeah, everyone knows that Makadamia nuts are the real threat anyway.

Don't count on it. Christianity had its crusades 900 years ago. Now the Muslims are having theirs.
