Flawless Victory!
he isn't as good as lebron. He is defaulting into an award because writers decided not to vote for Lebron in July. Did you see the ESPN votes where 6 people left him out of their top five? They voted for Manu Ginobli, Dirk, even Amare Stoudamire, but six of them didn't even bother to give lebron a top 5. that was C R A P.

I think he's as good as Lebron now and has a higher ceiling than Lebron.. What you say about the writers isn't true whatsoever because every sports show I've seen has Lebron in the top 5. He's not top 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 because he's playing with another superstar who has identical numbers. Lebron has slowed down in terms of athleticism since 2-3 years ago while Rose is virtually unstoppable.

I'm not sure how "unstoppable" equates to his shooting skills exactly but alright.
I'm calling it right here. Rose is going to run into a cork name Dwade, and he will be stopped.
Also: Can you make an argument that could put Rose on the same level as Lebron? I can't find one facet of his game where he is better. Maybe FT's.... [/B]

9 possessions where he was stopped. Long misses turn into long rebounds turn into fast breaks...
Rose already ran into Wade and Lebron 3 times this year. Each took turns guarding him in each game and in each game he blew by them like speedy Gonzalez. I'm confident that Boston will finish off Miami but if they don't, I'd love to see Wade attempt to defend Rose.
Considering that Boston is going to have its hands full with NY, I think we get to see the Miama/Chicago showdown. I'm already pretty excited about it.
And your problem is you're looking at only stats and nothing else. Stats hardly tell even half the picture.
Not even half? really? They don't tell the WHOLE picture would be a more accurate statement.
I suppose you think Lebron is a good shooter because he's shooting over 50% the past few months? I mean nevermind the fact that most of his shots come within 12 feet and someone like Kobe or Rose or Wade have a higher degree of difficulty on their shots
Tell me, what's more valuable? A possession where Lebron drives to the hoop against a helpless defender, and scores at the rim, or a possession in which Drose/kobe/wade misses a tough jumper? That should really be the end of that. Lebron gets his own shots. If he gets an easier shot than Drose, that is rose's fault for not getting an easier shot that he CAN hit.
However, check jumper percentages, From three, their percentages are identical, so no advantage to rose for that either.
. How about the value of a player to his team? Miami is a playoff team without Lebron because Wade his identical numbers and they both have free reign because the other player usually takes the pressure off of them. Rose is the only superstar on his team and without him, they'd probably be a lottery team.
Chicago would be a playoff team without rose, are you kidding me? I'm curious how you can even begin to argue they wouldn't be.
It's not even close. [/B]
Exactly. Rose is a really good player who happens to be on the best team in the league. Lebron is a force of nature.
(I'm really looking forward to the series between them, btw. ): )

Rose is the only player on that team that can create his own shot. After him... That's it... Brewer is his backup who pretty much sucks. Their defense is still going to be phenomenal but they'd be unable to score without Rose.

Ugh, no, no sequel. How could they possibly follow it up and make it good? The ending was great--we actually lose... totally lose! No deus ex or nothing. I loved that they ended it with the stills of MechaJarred fighting the rest off. If they make a sequel following that, it'll wreck the first one.
I mean.. we all died! That was awesome!
Not like Battle: Los Angeles. I lost track of how many cliches and references they dumped in that one. It was essentially Modern Warfare 2, but with aliens instead of Russians. They even had a black guy shouting "Use your grenade launchers!"

Battle LA was pretty cool and realistic in terms of alien invasions. Then again so were Skyline and Independence Day. How can you say it doesn't deserve a sequel? Have you even SEEN the ending, when Jared becomes one of those monsters and protects his gf? Of course there needs to have a sequel.
Originally posted by Dr McBeefingtonYeah it was cool, but how would a sequel play out? An entire movie of those two wandering a desolate Earth trying to escape enteched robots? That would get old fast. A sequel would suck as it leaves very little options for the two of them. I don't really wanna watch an entire movie of a robot punching other robots while some woman with a baby hides in a corner. Got Transformers for that.

A one-shot comic might suffice, ala Left4Dead. But really I prefer the openendedness of the film.
