Also, in the Infinite Crisis comic series, Superman (Kal-el) fought with an interdivisional version of himself (Kal-L). The both of them realized that they had to let loose with everything they had in order to prevail against the other, which they did. The blows that they inflicted on each other (not actually hitting the planet surface directly) met with such force that the shockwaves they produced not only tore the planet they were fighting on/near to shreds (in fact, I think they may have atomized it by the end, I can't quite remember), but actually created tears through time and space, causing events from both Supermen’s past and the future to manifest before other hero/villain groups throughout the galaxy. I tried to find some scans of this fight - I've seen them before - but I don’t have time at the moment to keep looking.
You've merged two seperate fights togther. It was the Superman/Zod IV fight where the planet was torn apart. In infinite crisis Earth 2 metropolis was leveled. The time and space stuff is correct though.
What I don't get is how people think Goku is faster & stronger then Superman & everyone that's on Goku's side seems to believe that his energy attacks can actually hurt Superman.
As someone who has argued before for Goku, there's two reasons. Firstly they know nothing about Superman. Secondly the Goku they're thinking of is much more powerful than the real one. I've seen DBZ fans insist Goku can blow up the universe if he felt like it.

Except Superman would be able to see Cell down to the microscopic level and be able to utterly destroy him...If Superman was willing to kill.As for Broli.....His body probably wouldn't be able to contain the power he'd have so he'd probably loose still from a power overload.
The last one about Brolli isn't true because all he has to do is release a little amount of energy to keep himself from exploding. Theoretically, he could power up forever, just as long as he releases a little energy every time.
How is Broli going to knock Superman away? Unless Superman goes easy on him then Broli would have a chance to let off energy. And even then Superman would have to let him sit there for a while to get that much power assuming Broli could even get enough power. Then Superman would actually have to sit there and let Broli use that power on him.
Also why wouldn't Superman hurt Broli? Gokou made him bleed before Broli was LSSJ and then Gokou with the power of Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, and Piccolo combined was able to stop his punches and dominate him physically.
