All of Goku enemies are capable of destroying planet's with a blast. Since Goku is stronger then most of his enemies; that means he is also capable of destroying a planet, but he want because he's a good guy. If he wanted to he could. If Captain Ginyu traded bodies with Goku and learned how to control Goku powers, than you would see galaxies conquered and even perhaps destroyed. I guess we will never see Goku destroy a planet, seeing as though he has complete control over his abilities and he's a good guy.

Well Kryptonians on their home planet weren't that strong...So I'd give it to the Saiyans..Unless the Kryptonians get some yellow sun.

This is just getting stupid now.

DBZ fights take place on earth all the time, when both characters are going all - out, yet they never do any more damage to the earth than just causing a few craters and knocking down a few mountains in some desert in the middle of nowhere. They only threaten the planet when they launch attacks aimed directly at the planet with the intent of destroying it. They can't destroy a planet from the side - effects of their fights, like Superman did against Darkseid and Zod.

Actually goku threatens the earth when he powers up the SSJ3. His immense power almost causes the earth to crumble which is why he had to power up so slowly. As for the blast they can shoot out many different types of blast, some blast are made to only do surface damage and some are made to pierce in for depth. The attacks that just make craters are just shoots to do surface area damage. You can also relate them to missiles. A nuke does a huge surface area damage but doesn't create a huge crater, but a bunker buster creates a huge crater but little surface area damage.

Goku doesn't have the power to destroy the sun, and Supes can survive without the sun for weeks. So Goku would basically be killing himself even if he was strong enough (which he's not) to destroy the sun since he can't breath in space. 🙂
