I dont think thats what was going on. Jack was flirting with her through the movie and she pretended to hate it but liked it. She also did want him to kiss her in that scene, but pretended she didnt.. He only pulled away because of the black spot. She would have kissed him there..
I think the "This is the only way dont you see" was her covering up her true feelings again..she did that to him for herself but was trying to justify it by making it sound honorable..Jack see's that she'slying to him to sound honorable and his smirk fades(Its not what he wants from her)..She spots it and she basically becomes overwhelmed with what she really wants, goes in to kiss again but pulls away..she says "I'm not sorry"(sounds more piratey) I think this is the point where she finally shows Jack that she has given in to him and what wants for her. She says that and then looks as if she is waiting for him to react, he smiles again and says "pirate" Its like validation for her. I dont think it meant "Im going back to will" because he wasnt even there for her. Disney had them seperated so they could grow appart as people and not together. in my opinion.
He was slowly geting under her skin and it pulled off for him in the end.
In this movie I think Liz see's Jack as her mentor/hero. She is learning from him how to be a "proper pirate" but she's not proven herself to him yet. I think she is basicaly smitten with him and how much of a true pirate he is. She is the object of his desire. The legendary pirate Jack sparrow WANTS her and she loves the thought. She loves the pirate lifestyle and Jack is the ultimate Pirate to her..and this man wants her..You just KNOW she's tempted. She's in denial about the whole thing of course..but in the back of her minds she is thinking.."maybe I could" and as we see later she does.
For her to be officially named "pirate" by who she idolizes as the greatest pirate in the world must have been the ultimate prize for her. I think thats one thing she wanted when she chained him up..She wanted tp prove to him that she could do it. She had become a pirate..she wanted him to realize it at recognize it and basically confirm it for her. Thats why she didnt leave until she got that word from him.
I wonder if Disney will push even further past expectations and add a sex scene? lol..Doubt they would but they might go for the easy way out and fade to a sunset as they begin to get it on, we return later assuming they have just done the dirty deed. I can picture disney doing that but not going any further.
They have followed typical trilogy rules so far and things are only supposed to get crazier and more risky as they go on. So they might add that in the next
^^ Yes, they should get stuck on the island again......after all, Barbossa is alive, to help Jack Sparrow......hmm.....maybe, but maybe not......he is the one who abandoned Jack on that island twice before, and one of those times were Liz, he'll do it again for sure.......
and if they did put a sex scene in, they would probably have to up the rating to R...the first movie is PG13, the scond one in PG13......but since the more seqels they do, the more risky things get...so that is probably a possibility.

yeh i agree with you.
Something tells me Disney wont go as far as to show you a full on sex scene...but they will probably imply they have had sex. I mean Jack has implied he slept with Tia and tia implies that she wants will. Who's to say it wont happen with Liz. Its gonna be the classic fade out fade in thing i bet lol.

Tia seems to know whats going to happen with people and she knows what people want..she seemed to assume Will Wants herself in that way 😱 Tia/Will...Will/Tia? hmmmmmmmmm. I dont mean like a full on relationship but Will might have a moment where he gives into temptation with her...thus breaking Liz/Will up even more aha
OMG i just watched that Tia's hut moment again. She notices his compass wont work for him.. says to Jack something like "you dont know what you want, I do know more but you will want to claim it as your own" - or something..she's really hard to understand but if thats what she said then... DUH its LIZZIE, He wants to claim her as his own. She obviously knows what he wants but isnt telling him.

I also noticed something really strange about that scene involving Will. but its gonna be hard to explain.
Its like a similarity thing between him and Davy Jones. She said he has a touch of "destiny about him"..and from what I see with all the secret messages in that scene he might do the same thing to his heart that Davy Jones did.
I'm gonna try explain it lol:
When they start talking about Davy Jones she says he turned like that over "the one thing that vexes all men"
Will says "what vexes all men?" in curiosity..She seems to smile as if she knows something then reaches for his hand and says suggestivly
"What indeed?" - I think that part there is a really REALLY important thing to notice. She knows something about him there and she's hinting that its going to involve him.
She starts talking about how davy Jones ripped his heart out because he fell in love with a woman who he couldnt control, she became wild like the sea..She broke Davy's heart..

The camera lingers on Will a WHOLE lot when they are discussing this. He looks as if he thinks of Liz and it shows slight fear at the thought of doing that over a woman. To me that shows that its going to be significant to him later on..I think its his destiny to do that.
I think Tia knows he's going to do this and she gives him little hints.
^^ Interesting......that DOES seem similar to Will's situation.....
and getting back to the Liz and Jack getting stuck on that island again with no rum......that would be a HUGE part in the developement between the two....I have a feeling that is going to happen, becauase Barbossa is back into play...and he's not afraid to do it a third time for Jack, and a second time for Liz.

have tia and jack slept together? it seems to be implied. and i can see jack being something of a man-whore to get something from tia, etc. hmmm.
the line tia says is "jack sparrow does not know what he wants, Or do you know, but are loathe to claim it as your own?" so that could def. apply to lizzy, but in some wierd way it could apply to Davy's chest, or a number of other things.
I can see a will/tia thing going down... my dad (who is rather cynical) decided Tia was going to turn into someone really beautiful in the next film and get will. i dont know about that, but i do see similar character dev. with Will and DavyJ... just wondering if things might not follow a similar pattern in Will's life, but something stops him from actually cutting out his heart, hehe.
Yeah I dont know if Disney would throw in a sex scene or not. I mean, obviously it would be a fade out come back afterwards type thing, but where would that fit in with the story? no one will care if she sleeps with Will, but if she sleeps with Jack, thngs will really be done for her and Will, and Lizzy will just look like a **** to most people. I sorta wish they would, cause that would be hott. 🙂 Take the shirt off, Mr. Sparrow...
I get the feeling there is still a lot we dont know about Jack Sparrow, that we are going to find out in this next film.
lastly, my opinion is constantly changing on the big kiss scene. I think its hott, i think Liz does it for multiple reasons, i think the "pirate" is a compliment, i think she wants more...
here is a thought i always have. Jack Sparrow isnt typically acting all heroic... so the final scene with the kraken is especially meaningful/ hott. sometimes i just want ot interpret it as: "i just got something i have been wanting for a looooong time, if life ends here, no big deal." OR some kind of mix of, liz has become a pirate, even if she ends up with will i know she wants me, i do actually want to protect her by staying on this ship and fighting the kraken, and when it comes down to it, we're two peas in a pod, and if i live through this, she'll really see me as a hero....
