LOL it's SOOOO true. Will wasnt even bothered with Liz at all..and then he EXPECTS her to be the same after completley not being there for her throughout the entire movie!

He left her like a caged bird expecting her to just sit and be pretty. There was no kiss..he just left her..SIGNAL OF WHAT THEIR MARRIAGE WILL BE LATER HINT HINT..all restricted with Will in controll of her! she doesn't want that. He comes back at the end "Gaurd the chest" Liz" - NO!" HINT HINT he thinks he can still controll her.

Funnily enough Davy Jones thought he could controll his woman but she became untame like the sea..echo of Will /Liz hello? and we all know how that turned out for Davy..

Will totaly forgot about her..he saw her on the Island and was like "huh? OH YEAH LIZ!..gimmie a kiss..now sit and be pretty whilst I open the chest and save my dad" "gaurd the chest whilst I go and have the adventure" She aint havin THAT!

I dont feel sorry at all for Will losing his girl..He cant even do enough to keep her...She's not the woman he thought she was..She is braver then he thought she was and he's not going to like it..He's not going tp be the alpha male with her anymore.

you have some good points there. and even tho he didnt stop the kiss, you could tell how painful it was for him

^^ I don't think it looked painful to him.......I think he looked a little disapointed, but he did nothing about it, he didn't even talk to her about it, he had to have been bracing himself for something like this to happen......with all the time he hasn't be spending with Liz............and Jack is......

well im sure he didnt want to make a scene with everyone around, but idk

^^ Why not? if he really loves he like he thaught he did, he would have made a scene, he knows all of the people that are there,

If it was really really painful to him..then wouldnt he do what usual guys do "thump the other guy?"

Its almost as if he was like "whoah!!!...oookkk, what the heck did I miss?"

the fact he didnt seem to care about her during the film would explain why he looked as if he didnt really care there..He seemed to realise at this point that he had been ignoring her throughout the entire movie.

He pushed her to the back of his mind and she did the same to him and that was the realisation to him. I think thats what his face expresses in that scene.

yeah i think Will is a bit naive, to be brutally honest. He should have put two and two together that she sometimes uses people (aka norrington first film) and she quite literally a ball of energy waiting to explode, and being robbed of her wedding night, she is a bit horny. Woah did i just say that?
anyways, Will should have seen it coming, but he didnt. He's gotten way too practical and doesnt take into account physical attraction or something. He is just still in the place of seeing Jack as an interesting but odd sort of person- the kind of person any decent girl would steer clear of.
When he is cutting up Tia's table with his knife at the end, I can just imagine what is going through his head. Like, thinking back to all those times Jack and Liz spent together, and wondering what went down with them while he was gone...

yeh I agree. He looked as if his mind was racing with thoughts..its like "my liz..MY liz just did this to me..she's not who I think she is, How could i have been so blind, I trusted her" and what not. His whole world has just been rocked to the core.

^^ Yes, he dosn't want to change her........he wants her to love him on her own terms........and she dosn't......

its interesting that throughout both movies everyone always refers to Will as "the boy" or "the kid" or something along those lines. He is a big tall buff man. Its kinda funny how they always seem to see him as "young mr turner" and "the boy" when everyone takes Liz (who is porbably younger) on her own terms.
I just dont think Will is really suited to the pirate life. He wanders around the Caribbean, shows up on the island and is promptly captured. Instead of being tricksy he instantly blurts everything out to Jack, and proceeds to trust him blindly throughout the film. Liz on the other hand sneaks aboard ships, pretends to be a man, pretends to be a spirit, flirts with everyone, and is VERY manipulative.
poor Will. he is just too good for his own good amongst all these pirates.

Yeh thats very true..Anikin was labled as that throughtout the star wars movies and guess what he turned into 😕

Its like a thing the movie makers do to keep the audience thinking He's just n innocent well meaning guy...but deep down something else is there and its going to shock the audience when they see it because they will be caught off gaurd thinking Will is one thing but turns out to be another. You think they are a safe character but they totally shock you.

I agree he's not a very good pirate. He cant compare with Jack..He cant even compare with Liz..and he's losing Liz to jack. He's going to always feel like the one who cant compare, the third wheel.. More than often in movies this kind of characher does something overly drastic and often bad because of jealousy of never being able to be the top man. They get sick and tired of being the third wheel and not getting the attention they want they often get seduced and try to become more powerfull..and its not always a good kind of powerful.

^^ Yes, the combination of the point you just made.....and the directors comment about how Will's love story mirrors Davy's.....leads us to think Will is going to do something drastic, like cut out his heart, like Davy did......and then that could be something to base another trilogy on, or at least a 4th movie, for them to bring back Will from being evil....

yeh^^

Maybe Will wont actually manage to save his father(he's not a very good hero)..He might lose him..lose liz and totally become overwhelmed and do something stupid. like cut his heart out. I reckon if Liz just left him then He wouldnt do something silly..but if he then loses all that he has left (his dad) it would make him cross the line.

The very fact his own dad is this unatural thing overshadows the thought of a doomed/unatural Will even more. following in daddys footsteps??

^^ That's what I think........ like maybe Will goes and gets himself a lifetime service on Davy's ship like his dad...

well then if he loses liz then he will still have his father

thats what i'm thinking..If you stab davy's heart does that mean he dies and so do all of his crew?

I thought I heard will say "I'll kill the person who made Davy rip out his heart" you know just before he leaves the ship..that part onfused me a tad..

I cant imagine disney making Will's character as irelevent as that. meaning a crew member.

i dont remember will saying that. i know he said he would stab davy jones' heart with that knife.

Stabbing jones just means there is no captain of the dutchman, meaning all those men who are bound to the ship would be free. so would the kraken, however. The EITC wants the kraken to get rid of all the pirates, Will wants to stab the heart to get rid of jones so his dad is free, and Jack wanted to make jones call off the kraken. HOwever, Will probably didnt think his action through, because just killing jones would probably leave a mess and a sunken flying dutchman.

I still dont think Will is going to end bad. I think he will come close, do something stupid maybe, etc... but i keep reading that this trilogy ties up neatly and they arent leaving it too far open, like, if they keep making movies, they will invent entirely new complications. Plus, this trilogy just isnt very similar to star wars for me, because stars is literally like a soap opera, very tense and nervous. This set of movies is a lot of fun. Its high seas, adventure, being cheeky and having a blast. the majority of the movies is spent in jest, there are just some darker moments to ground the piece.
So, i dont think Will will turn out evil, personally.

Oh right ok thanks..And whats Liz' main want... Jack lol

Thing is even if he ends up Bad that would mean that the trilogy wraps up nicely and neatly..They are sugesting in movie 2/3 that he might have a similar destiny to davy Jones and if he does end up like him that means its all tied up with no plot holes..If he remained good then why is Tia so interested and putting emphasis on a dark destiny?

I agree......even though I don't see Will's character becoming irrelevant, like you said.....I still think that it will have something to do with, what you said, Tia's emphasis on a drak desitiny...

im pretty sure will's characeter will be extremly important, tia says that he has a certain destiny about him or something like that, so i think that Will is going to make a huge difference to the movie, whether good or bad.
