Personally I think stupid people shouldn't be allowed to have sex, but I doubt it will ever become law.

My thing is this: Who cares? If a gay couple down the street wants to get married, that's their business. Although, I'll admit, the thought of them together is, for lacky of a better word, "icky", but there's no problem with then living how they want. It doesn't effect my personal life in any way whatsoever, or anyone elses for that matter. It only effects those who let it effect them, due to their own bigotry or ignorance. That's just my opinion, though.

My response is no, gays should not be allowed to marry. I can't say much or else I'll be banned, but I oppose them completely, they interfere with my moral beliefs, etc. So I don't think they should be allowed to marry or to adopt kids or to be in the army. And I'm pretty sure I heard the Bible say that you can't be gay. I'm not very religious; I'm just mentioning it because it would verify that logically, God would not like the idea of gays marrying.

it doesn't matter what it says in the bible. church and state are seperate. or at least taht's what i was taught when i was in 2nd grade. (our president wasn't apparently). the bible teaches us lots of morals that everyone can benifit from, but how can you really justify forcing someone who might be for example atheist to live their life to conform to your religion. not to sound like said second grade teacher but... how would you feel if you were forced to abide by the rules of another religion?

Gays have my full blessing in love and marriage, they are just as human as the rest of us and should be allowed to live with equal opportunities like anyone else.

what i don't understand is what people think will be accomplished by making gay marriage illegal. i understand (and kinda dislike) people who are against being gay because it offends their religion, but what will making gay marriage illegal do about it? making it illegal won't stop people from being gay. will you really notice if the gay couple down the street are married or just live together? it won't matter to you, but it will sure as hell matter to them. so why not let gay people choose if they want to be married or not, just like straight people can. so with that in mind, why do you think gay marriage should be illegal. is it because there is some other moral issue that i don't know about or does it just give some people pleasure to hurt others?

I know a lot of people claim it will "promote gay behavior", that's atleast what the people in boston who are trying to ban it are saying.

Macy's had some sign up in the window of one of their stores that listed a bunch of events for gay pride week and all the crazy conservatives yelled at them saying it was promoting gay behavior, so Macy's took it down, and then all the gay rights activists yelled at Macy's for taking it down.

Honestly, corporate America is going to be a big player in all this. I belive that something like 75% of the Fortune 500 have policies that give gay partners the same rights as straigt partners. These companies are proving progessive, and they won't keep business in states where such policies are banned.
