Not sure if this was brought up, but let's list the possibilities of watch Lucas could possibly "add" if Star Wars, both trilogies were on Blu Ray with more updated effects:
1. In Empire, Han Solo says "Then I'll see you in [Mustafar]!" instead of hell.
2. Also in Empire, Han Solo will say "Kid, you look like you can pull ears of a [Gungan]"
3. While the emperor is frying Luke, Darth starts having flashbacks of Mace Windu being fried.
4. Wicket is digital and has more facial movements.
5. Storm Troopers all fire blue lasers
6. When Luke takes Vader's mask off, we see Hayden Christensen digitally 20 years older along with his voice.
7. In Mos Eiseley, Jar Jar will turn around and smile at the camera.
8. An added line, or flashback about Anakin's "apprentice" from upcoming Clone Wars.
9. A digital Jabba talks about his son briefly in Return.
10. When Jabba screams at 3PO to ask why $50000, green slime will fly out of his mouth.
11. Banthas roaming around before the Sail Barge scene now have a Bantha keeper with them. One of the banthas fart and the keeper says "Pee yousaa!"
12. A Mace Windu ghost will appear to talk to Luke in Dagobah too.
13. The battle droid that tries to arrest Qui Gon shoots first.
14. The stormtrooper that bumps his head in Hope is changed to duck underneath the door.
15. The singing at Jabba's Palace is much much longer including break dancing Jawas.
16. Upon entering Mos Eiseley, we see a pod racer fly by.
17. Dead battle droids are added in the junk squishing scene.
18. All Storm troopers speak with Jango Fett's voice.
19. Storm Troopers are all wearing certain colors on their shoulder and knee pads marking their battlions.
20. An added scene with the Emperor talking to Vader in Hope about feeling Obiwan's prescence and Emperor explains that he has to go meet him and fight him.

Yes, Empire is good too. I know it's literally 99.99% of everyone's favorite. I like the movie, but I find the first half of it to be a real drag.
My least favorite by far has to be Return of the Jedi. When I was kid, I liked it the best because I thought Luke's green lightsaber was so cool. But as I got older, it steadily got worse each time. I still like the movie don't get me wrong, but not as much as the others.

Your welcome. I agree. I enjoy all Star Wars films, but I think a lot of the fans have grown into thinking Star Wars belongs to themselves when in fact it is all Lucas' and that's the way it has always been.
Star Wars has always been the same. I guess it all comes down to what people like.

Sorry, but i don't give a shit about some loser's opinion. They give no proof of critics writings, or who these critics are. Fvckin tomatoes?! Gay.
Personally, i don't give a shit what any of you think. To me, and most every other SW fan above the age of 20, the PT sucks balls compared to the OT. And that's all there is to it. I'll got find 10 links of people saying the PT sucks. Big deal.
And those ideas are lame. Someone already tried to do the "flashback" thing when Sids fries Luke, and it looks LAME! Flashbacks are not Lucas's style, and usually are put into movies because the sequels' story isn't up to par and they need to rely on the original. For example, that's why in T2, they cut out all the scenes they shot with Reece. The story needs to go forward. If you're watching that movie and you can't figure out what Vader is thinking, than you're a moron. That's a horrible idea.
