A child who has never had sex with an adult will not suffer any negative effects from that. Consent is irrelevant since technically the child can grant the adult permission but still end up hurt by the experience. Society has no influence over physical trauma.

Yes, I don't agree with your opinion because it is wrong. You say paedophiles don't care about the children. That is ridiculous. Do you also claim that no guy cares for their girlfriend?
Could be..well, that is mostly because it is so unaccepted in our society..if it was a normal behaviour no one would have any mental damage. And, yes, someone that is not allowed to have sex with the person they want if that person wants it too will be effected negatively. But that is with every relationship like that. People can give consent but they might end up being hurt, their decision. A teenager is educated enough to make this decision and they can indeed give consent.

Again, im sure alot of people in Roman times used to see people killing each other used to think it was good fun. Just because something is accepted as normal does not neccesarily make it right.

They of course can assume all the physical and mental responsibilities of having sex and children, going to war etc. at that age so shouldn't they be able to vote as well? 12 isn't a good age. And while I agree there maybe certain individuals who trancend their ages in physical and mental categories, those very rare exceptions don't represent everyone else in tsheir age group. And I don't know if that makes it right to change the entire law that could affect (negatively) the majority of their peers. So tell me again how 12 is a good age?

The difference is this. In case of voting and driving it is to protect other people from them. Smoking and Having sex is just their business. Which is why I mean they should have the right to do both, if they want to.
