Neither Lightsnake nor myself believe that Shimmra would defeat Ragnos. But when you all yank crap out of your ass saying "well, Ragnos would WTFpwn him in melee combat" or "he'd use his almighty Force powers", I'll ask you to prove up.
a. Ragnos is strong, yeah. So is Shimmra. Compare the two. Oh wait, you can't, because Ragnos was never seen doing anything. So you can't say, "well Ragnos would just curbstomp him in melee". For all you know, he'd bite the big one.
b. Ragnos can only use indirect Force attacks. This is what would give him the advantage and the victory. And even then, he'd still have to deal with Shimmra's technology.
Although LS doesn't always make shit up it is clearly obviuos he has something against ancients and can't acknowledge that when someone bows before and obeys commands from a ghost when they themselves are incredulously powerful says volumes about how powerful the dead person was when they were alive.
Yeah, or maybe their reaction is: "holy ****, it's a ghost!"
Add to the fact that he held power in the ancient sith empire for over a century(Palpatine held power for just a little more than a quarter of that time) and brought it to its golden age and only had major resistance early in his reign(from powerful beings/armies)speaks about his ironfist.Palps was brought down by... ❌

Palpatine = reigned over the entire galaxy and the most powerful military force ever.

The difference is, that we know there was confusion after Ragnos' death to the successor of DLOTS. If he was defeated in combat, we would know. All evidence and common sense points towards Ragnos dieing of natural causes. Your saying he could of died in an accident? Like he fell off a roof or something? LMAO.

Darth Sidious > Marka Ragnos in achievements. Undisputed.
- Ragnos didn't rule the galaxy. He reigned over an extremely small bit of it.
- Palpatine reigned over the galaxy.
- Palpatine created the most powerful military force in history. Palpatine's army > Ragnos's army. Essentially, if there were ever a war - Ragnos's Empire would bite the proverbial big one.
- Palpatine used deception and intelligence (apparently using one's brain is a crime these days) because an all out assault would have failed. Do you not recall the other Sith Lords who tried to take the Republic by force and failed miserably? Like Revan?
- Palpatine controlled the entire Clone Wars. He controlled both ends.
- Palpatine exterminated the Jedi Order.

The point is, that sith magic behaves in a different manner than regular force attacks. Its unknown whether sith magic is even force based or not. To prove your point, you will need a quote that specifically targets sith arts.
Its only illogical in your mind.
Its also possible, that Star Wars is one of Luke's elaborate dreams. That doesnt make it likely, or reasonable.
