No worries man, i think most people would pick the Suns in this one. We are without Kobe, Kwame and Mihm and Vlad Rad has a busted hand but will still play.
I just want to see our young guys like Bynum and Farmar get some playing time and show some steady improvement, the more experience they get now the deeper we will be at the business end of the season.
Our team seems like a really tight unit this year, i think we will surprise some people when we get back to full strength.

Ha..Ha.. the Heat got blown out at home. Defending Champs!? More like Defending Chumps if you ask me. Worst loss for a defending champ team in NBA history! And on ring night nonetheless...LOL...Anyways, we all knew they weren't going to repeat again this year. My bold prediction the Heat wont repeat and Zo will retire at the end of the season and Riley will take another sabbatical, perhaps another safari trip where he can do his beloved bow hunting and enjoy killing more defenseless animals. Meanwhile another coach like Stan will come in and coach the team until their good enough to challenge for a title again and then Riley will step in @ the right time again and win another championship. ✅
Impressive victory for a young Laker team over the defending Pac champs without Kobe, Kwame and others. Phil's definitely got that team playing well and believing but I still can't see them making a serious run without a quality starting pt. guard. Phil decided to go the route of going with a player from the draft @ that position instead of a much needed veteran which sends the message to me that while they do have a very young and talented team, Phil believes they're still a couple of yrs away from seriously challenging for a championship.

You do realize this was only 1 game, right? The Heat will get it going, and they will be right there come playoff time.
And I know it was a nice victory without Kobe, but just because they won once in thie first game of the season without Kobe, doesn't mean they will do it time and time again. THe Sixers beat the Pistons once without Iverson, and then lost 3 games in a row by double digits to the Bobcats, Hawks, and Celtic, with Iverson.
Of course, the Lakers are way better than the Sixers, but still, you can not really predict anything based on the first game of the season.

And I disagree, you can tell a lot about a team with the 1st game of the season, especially if they happen to be the so called defending champs. That performance by the Heat yesterday was the most pathetic showing from a defending champ in NBA history. But you're partly right I suppose, I mean they did play like shit pretty much the whole 1st half of the season last year and still ended up winning the championship.
My prediction still stands. I guess we'll have to wait till the end of the season to see if it comes true.
I didnt predict the Heat to repeat, as a matter of fact I didnt have them going to the NBA finals.
As for the Lakers 💃 💃 Bynum looked really impressive against the Suns. Im telling you, if we meet the Suns in the playoffs we will eliminate them. You see they have problems with tall big guys, *points at Bynum, Kwame, and Mihm, they cant handle us. All they really have down low is Amare and we dont know where hes going to stand throughout the season but its irrelevant since we have 3 centers and they basically have power forwards.

I don't know if they will repeat, but I wouldn't put it out of the question just because they got blown out 1 game. Everybody gets blown out sometime, and that is why the playoffs are a 7 game series instead of 1 game elimnation. Although, I think 1 game elimination is a million times more exciting. College Basketball FTW.
And I wouldn't consider it a bold prediction just predicting that the Heat won't win the Championship. Maybe if you predict what round the will lose in, or who they will lose to and how many games they lose in, then it would be a bold prediction.
And as for my prediction, I predict that the Heat will make the playoffs with no less that a 3rd seed.(I don't like making predictions about my teams, so that is all I will say. 😛 )

Wow, the Lakers really stepped up last night and showed some character after the Suns put them in a 20pt hole early.
Lamar, Bynum and Evans were huge for us as we mounted a great comeback. Nearly 50pts off the bench was a very pleasing stat and something we really missed last year.
I like the way Vlade is playing, even though he has injured his shooting hand he is trying to help in other ways like posting up and using the dribble drive to put pressure on the defense. Hopefully when his hand heals he will remember that he can be more than just a sharpshooter.
I cant say enough about how proud Bynum makes me, he is gonna have some bad games to but his potential is incredible and he wants to get better every game.
Lamar has really showed some character with the way he is playing after such a tragic off season, i hope he can reach that All Star level this year.
The Heat got gang raped by the Bulls (which if im honest did leave a smile on my face) but they will bounce back.
I dont think they have strengthened their team enough to repeat though and Shaq is really going to have to pace himself if he wants to go the distance.
edit: Copper Klan, if you're a Kings fan i can understand your hate for the Lakers. But they did have some incredible games during the three peat years.

Yeah, but you have to admit that the heat squad was disgraceful yesterday. Dwyane played good, but other than that, just a bunch of horrid performances. As a fan, you have to give the other team some credit, too. Now, Chicago beat them by 42 points in a season opener coming off from a championship in downtown Miami, where thousands of fans payed their money to see. and what did they see? Beyond crap, that's what. it's obvious that chicago came out with full intensity and focus, even if it is the first game, and miami came out relaxed saying, "Yeah, look at us, we just got our rings. Oh, what now, we too good for you." Yep, and it took a few minutes for those smiles to fade away. It would have been nice if you made a little compliment for the well deserved bulls, just a small one like, "the bulls played well." instead, you just try to deny it by making the "it's only one game" excuse. yeah, it was only one game, and that's all it counts for, but it was not just a loss at home, it was a 42 point loss with everyone on the roster. I know you like Wade and heat, but there comes a point where you just have to admit that you team played terribly and the other team played well. just a thought.
As for the lakers, it was great game from the, especially because they were without kobe, kwame, and mihm. they were down by 20 points? I didn't see the game, but wow, it was a great comeback. Odom played phenomenally, but with kobe in the lineup, he can't play as aggressively, because the ball is in kobe's hands the majority of the time. So, Odom should savor his performance yesterday.
The heat do have a good chance of repeating, if shaq stays healthy and wade keeps doing his thing. I know it's a lot of burden on wade to put up superstar #'s after a tiresome summer, but he's capable of doing it. I predict they'll beat the bulls in the conference finals but lose to san antonio in the finals.
