Exactly, what the hell? They shouldn't even be judging it. It should just be Jordan, Wilkins, Dr. J. Active players shouldn't be allowed to judge it, if they want to participate than can compete in it, wtf.

It bothered me that he didn't have the balls to stick with his vote, as long as he doesn't judge it anymore my perspective on him probally won't change, although I would've enjoyed to see Iggy come back this year and win it, than stuff if it in his face, but who wouldn't want to see that.
This kind of pisses me off:
I was already skeptical about him in the dunk contest. Green however has a dunk that they say if he completes it, it will be a top 10 all time dunk.
They should exclude him from the event if thats his attitude. I hope he doesn't finish in the top 3. There shouldn't even be prize money, and if they are going to have prize mone, it should be donated to charity. This just proves to me more that they should just get rid of that event all together. Active players judging, and not participating, players only in it for money when they have 12 million dollar contracts, 2 minutes to complete a dunk. Like these players aren't babyed enough, this event is even turning into a bigger joke than I thought it ever could.
We'll see about the 2 minutes, just because its a solution, doesnt mean its the right solution. I have my doubts that what i'm trying to say. The NBA, and wanting players in there 1st 3 years rule needs to go. What if Lebron or Wade want to compete in it, I know its a slight chance, but with that 3 year rule, its no chance.
I agree with getting more competitors, but not with forcing the players to do it. The event is all about fun, if players are there that don't want to be, thats going to carry over to the event. Either get rid of the event, or get the fans and players involved in a way that satifies them both, while not hurting the level of competition.

I say he should have been fined $22,500. That way the only way to earn the money is to put enough effort to win it and he'd break even if he did do well but somebody simply beat him.

Wow, what a dumbass! How could he say such a thing. I'd think anybody invited into the dunk contest would be excited to say the least. Or if not, then at least keep it quiet. This guy has a head full of lead. He deserves to be fined. I'm certainly not rooting for him to win. As if he doesn't earn enough money. 🙄

Good for the Bulls for not putting up with his attitude, but I still think he should be replaced from the event. I personally would love to see Dahntey Jones replace him, or anybody really.

Thats a matter of opinion. I find the skills competition, and 3 point challenge much more entertaining than the dunk contest. I believe even Lebron is entering the skills competition this year, skills is were its at, and bigger names keep coming into that event while the dunk contest just gets lamer and lamer.

The big names enter the skills competition because they have nothing to lose there. If LeBron entered the dunk contest, 95% of the public would expect him to win. If he didn't win, everybody would be disappointed in him. He had everything to lose and nothing to gain. Most of the young guys that do get entered do have something to gain.
And yes, it is a matter of opinion that the dunk contest is the most entertaining, but I'm sure if you ask most fans what was most memorable from the past few all-star Saturday Nights, they'll still say the dunk contest, or at least a specific dunk or two from the contest. Yea, people would expect Lebron to win because there is no competition in the dunk contest. The chances are he would win the dunk competition in this years field, so why would he join? The skills competition has more talent, and is starting to be more competitive so I don't think its a matter of having nothing to lose, but more along the lines of competing with the best. Lebron is completing against the best in the skills competition, he isn't competeting against the best in the dunk contest. If you were Lebron James, and had the choice of competiting against the likes of Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitizk, or the likes of Nate Robinson, or Tyrus Thomas, who are you gonna choose?

I was just as disappointed about Iggy being robbed as the next guy, but I'd rather have the chance to see amazing dunks by NBA players and maybe be disappointed a little bit than not have those memories at all. Nobody says you have to watch the competition, but most people still generally enjoy the NBA dunk contest.
