band and.....the Lakers Lose!! 😠 blowup

Woohoo! Nets win! 💃

The Cavs really pounded the Heat tonight. The Heat are ever so disenchanted.

I just want to say I disagree with everything Wade said about Dirk and the championship! They did indeed give the championship to the Heat. [/QUOTE]

I agree with everything Wade said, Wade lead his team to a championship, if Dirk was the leader he was suppose to have been in that series then Dallas would have a championship instead of Miami. You just don't give championships away, espicially in a best of 7 series. You either win them, or you lose them.

For the last couple of weeks the Heat weren't actually playing too bad until tonight. The Heat have gone through more injuries and lineup changes than they did last year. Once they get the chemistry, and core lineup set than they should be right back in it. Having said that, if Detroit keeps the mometum going than I don't see anyone in the East beating them, I think last year they peaked too early, if they pick at the right time this year than my boys are golden.

And on a sidenote, Howard and Anthony were added to the All Star game.

Anybody see the inbounds pass/alley oop to Dwight Howard for the win against the Spurs? Wow.

Yea, that was pretty crazy

Yeah it was crazy. Dwight Howard is beastly. He got a huge block right before that too. Can't wait until the Sixers finalize that deal for him, Wade, Paul, and Bosh.

There goes your chances at Oden or Durant

My prediction/picks for All Star weekend

Skills Challenge
Kobe Bryant 6-6, 220 Lakers First-timer
LeBron James 6-8, 240 Cavs 2006 runner-up
Steve Nash 6-3, 195 Suns 2005 champion
Dwyane Wade 6-4, 212 Heat 2006 champion

Gotta go with Nasher on this one

Three-Point Shootout
Gilbert Arenas 6-4, 210 Wizards .373 3PT%
Damon Jones 6-3, 195 Cavaliers .397 3PT%
Jason Kapono 6-8, 215 Heat .559 3PT%
Mike Miller 6-8, 218 Grizzlies .430 3PT%
Dirk Nowitzki 7-0, 245 Mavericks .426 3PT%
Jason Terry 6-2, 180 Mavericks .419 3PT%

Dirks probaly the favorite, but I'm going with Kapono...they should replace Terry, they don't need two Mavs in there.

Slam Dunk Contest
Gerald Green 6-8, 206 Celtics First timer
Dwight Howard 6-11, 265 Magic First timer
Nate Robinson 5-9, 180 Suns 2006 champion
Tyrus Thomas 6-9, 215 Bulls First timer

DHow, he could literally save the dunk contest if he wins it, and hopefully draw bigger names to the event for next year.

Shooting Stars Teams
Chicago Ben Gordon/Candice Dupree/Scottie Pippen
Detroit Chauncey Billups/Swin Cash/Bill Laimbeer
Los Angeles Lamar Odom/Temeka Johnson/Michael Cooper
San Antonio Tony Parker/Kendra Wecker/George Gervin

Detroit Baby Detriot!!!.....I want to see Laimbeer throw those elbows like the good ol days 🙂

Actually it was more like it was handed to them on a silver platter by the officials, Stern and the league more so than the Mavs giving it away.

I really hate to go down memory lane on this but let's not forget, the ridiculous amount of free throws that Wade was given - in a few of those games he had more than the Mavs team combined not to mention a couple of them were totally bogus and you know which ones I'm talking about. The bullshit suspension of Stackhouse and the phantom Howard timeout call, Shaq not getting any calls going against him, etc...etc...

Anyway, you get the point. If this would've all taken place in one game you say, 'Ok, whatever bad game, let's chalk it up to bad luck or something. No big deal but to have this happen throughout the whole Finals series is just simply ridiculous!

I hope the league gets their sh*t together this year and we have a nice finals with what ever 2 teams are involved, hopefully it will be my Mavs again and as far as the East goes I'd like to see any team but the Heat but I'd especially like to see some of the younger teams like Washington, Orlando and Toronto go far. Especially Toronto, I think I'm gonna root for them the most because they're the underdog and no one expected them to be doing this well this soon. I get tired of seeing the same 2 teams every year so hopefully this year's match up will be different.

All that being said even though my Mavs lost last year, I did have a lot of fun rooting for them. As an NBA fan first and foremost I found myself once again a big fan of the game and once again happily cheering my team on, even in hostile territory. Don't get me wrong it was completely gutting when they lost but again I was just happy I had a team that I cared enough about to root for, otherwise it just wouldn't have been as much fun.

As far as Wade goes, dude really needs to keep his trap shut as far as I'm concerned. For a guy who single handedly won that series @ the free-throw line, I would think he'd just be happy with that and not to mention his current status as the NBA's poster boy. He's lucky Kobe's image got somewhat tarnished and that Shaq decided to jump ship or else he wouldn't even be in that position. Besides, I think it was pretty clear to anyone with a brain that Dirk's comments were directed more to himself and his own teammates as motivation and personal criticism rather than a swipe @ the Heat.

Btw, I loved Mark Cuban's response 😄

And his comment about Wade commercials was spot on 😄.

He said he loved watching him shoot free throws! 😱 😆

Ahh man that was a good read.

Listen RZA, I think your a really cool guy but you really need to let go of the Wade/Heat hate. Was there some bullshit calls that went Wade's way? Yes, but it didn't decide the series. He went to the line so much because there isn't a better player in the league at creating contact. Don't believe me? Watch any Heat game and watch how many times Wade falls to the ground from driving to the basket. He takes a lot of punishment out there from creating contact and officials will reward that.

If Dirk actually drived to the basket anytime during that series and not gotten any calls, then they could've bitched. But he pretty much stayed on the perimeter while almost looking scared to go in the paint against Zo and Shaq. That's what decided the series right there. Wade was spectacular, Dirk was just good. And as NBA history shows, the team with the best player almost always wins the finals. It wasn't the officials who decided the series.

I agree, although there was still some pretty bad calls.

Why do you keep changing your sig and avatar to a player looking to the left? 😆

Why do you care?

I couldn't have said it better myself, As much as I was rooting for Dallas, you're not going to win a championship when your star player isn't being aggresive, and is only scoring around 16 to 20 pts in must win games.

I couldn't agree more Doc, that's why I didn't say it was just Wade's bullshit calls and free throws that decided the series, I took the time to give a full laundry list of things that went wrong in that series which I felt cost the Mavs the championship and I thought I made that pretty clear in my previous post.

As far as Dirk and the rest of the Mavs team driving more to the basket goes, well what can you do when Shaq starts taking out guys left and right and then when it's done back to him you end up getting suspended for it. Again not much that can be done or said about that.

As far as my hate for Wade and the Heat, I don't hate Wade, not at all. I am getting pretty tired of him getting BS calls tho, especially when I see things like this...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aySGUzzxjGE

and nice to see that the majority of NBA fans also see it my way...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3Gea1J1H7Y

and his commercials are pretty bloody annoying to say the least.

As far as this current Heat team again I don't hate, I just don't care for it. I do hate Miami tho, not gonna lie about that. Now what you don't know is this is coming from someone who was a big Heat fan at one pt. Anyway, hopefully with God's blessing that's all gonna be left in the past very soon.

Also, I appreciate the compliment but whether or not we agree on something doesn't make you or I any lesser of a cool dude. I'll always respect your opinion regardless. 👆

5 of the sigs I've used are people looking to the right, 5 have been to the left, and the rest they are looking straight.

I love how the Cavs are finally trying to get a good PG. A couple of weeks ago they looked into Mike Bibby and now they are trying to work something out with the Nets and get Kidd.
