I think the Lakers would have to up give too much for him, after just rebuilding into a solid team. I don't know about the Cavs either, New Jersey really wouldn't get much in that deal.

I believe the idea is that there is fear that Vince will bolt and then Kidd won't be happy, so the Nets are looking to start over. So, you aren't going to get equal talent assuming that the Nets do make a trade, so going for salary and draft picks is probably the way to go.
Alright, I was in a playful mood on ESPN's trade machine, and here is a trade I came up with:
Portland loses:
Magloire
Juan Dixon
Gains:
Scott Pollard
David Wesley
Bostjan Nachbar
Jason Collins
Why it works for Blazers: Magloire doesn't get the time he wants and Dixon is on the block simply because he hasn't fit well into the Blazer rotation. Nachbar and Wesley may fit nicely with the Blazers and its not like the Blazers are giving up too much. Pollard and Collins would be barried in the Portland bench with Pollard only under contract for 1 year. Collins is the biggest downside because of his fairly large contract and the Blazers needing to use him.
Nets lose:
Jason Kidd
Bostjan Nachbar
Jason Collins
Gain:
Larry Hughes
Daniel Gibson
Jamal Magloire
Why it works for the Nets: Kidd may not be a Net for too much longer anyway plus he old. They gain Hughes who isn't much needed since Carter is there, but Carter may bolt anyway and Hughes would be a decent guy to have at SG if that were to happen. Magloire would be an upgrade to Collins and he has one of the most wanted contracts in the league right now. If you lose Kidd, you want favorable contracts and this would be a good one. Gibson is a decent and very young PG which would be nice considering Nets lose their star PG.
Cavs lose:
Hughes
David Wesley
Scott Pollard
Daniel Gibson
Gain:
Kidd
Juan Dixon
Why it works for Cavs: Gaining Kidd is an obvious plus. With Hughes gone, the Cavs also need a SG, which they gain from the Blazers. Dixon usually comes in for the Blazers, hits some threes, and not much else, but Cavs still need 3s. He was even more effective with the Wizards so he may even become more effective than he has been for the Blazers.

Salary wise, I don't see how Gooden could be in the deal. He makes $6.6 million. Kidd makes $18 million. That makes for a lot more Cavs would have to give up:
Hughes: $13.3mil
Big Z: $9.4mil
Snow: $6mil
Marshall: $5.6mil
D. Jones: $3.4mil
Pollard: $2.2mil
Newble: $3mil
Most others have contracts so tiny that they don't make up for much of the contract differences.
Maybe: Gooden, Snow, Jones and Pollard ($18.2mil), but is that what the Nets would want? I don't see much possible combinations without getting rid of multiple bigs and then the Cavs would be completely screwed down low.
