Cuban should just stick to those sorry Dallas Mavericks.

Today was a pretty active day in the NBA.

Carter re-signed.

Blake agreed to Portland (3 years, still not sure the cost but near full mid-level exception)

Mikki Moore agreed to go to the Kings. (I'm not sure what the contract was, but I'm guessing they overpaid for him because he had a few good games against the Cavs when they refused to guard him)

Mo Pete to the Hornets.

I wish all the best to Mo Pete.

Sad to see him go from the Raptors, but thats life.

Probably had to let him go since you overpaid for Kapono.

The Magic also extended Howards contract for 5 years.

it is sad to see mo pete go but good luck to him, hes been a great player and i wish him all the best.

still not sure about kapono, i dont see colangelo being the type of person to overpay a player, so i'm hoping hes seen some qualities in him that'll make him a good fit in the raptors system.

Nah, they were shopping him around for awhile. I dont think its because of Kapano. Mo Pete wasnt utilized alot last year.

Why do people care so much about how much a team is paying for a player? It's not thier money. If Kapano helps the team out, so what how much they pay for them. Raptors havnt had an three point specialist in along time. They needed one. They have the inside scoring with Bosh and Bargani. They have TJ Ford, and they have Parker. They had no 3pt guy, and Mo Pete wasnt consistent enough to be that guy.

It's the NBA, everybody gets overpaid.

Yet Lakers have nobody...

Its because of the salary cap. The teams are not willing to go over the cap so you hope they spend their money wisely because if they spend all of their money on guys that aren't worth it, then they won't be able to afford really good players when they become available.

Not Fisher.

Anybody watch My Prerogative? 😆

That was hilarious!

True, but in the NBA, a really good player is really going to cost against your salary cap no matter if one guy is getting overpaid.

I was looking at this website called draft express, (somebody showed it earlier), and they're are countless amount of guys who are getting paid in the 8 million dollar range and arnt worth it.

Having an 3pter on a team that has their main offenseive weapon in the front court is a good thing. If it cost an extra 2 million dollars more to have another weapon on the court, meh, not to worried about it.

It's the contracts that give $15 million an year for 5 years to a guy who is around 30 that scares me.

Yeah but do you realize how much profit these guys make for their organization? They pay them that much money because those players sell tickets and give them a better chance to win. And a guy who is around 30 is still in their prime, and most likely will still be good for another 5 years.

I dont doubt it. I have no problem with all-stars getting the big bucks.

True, a guy in his earlier 30's can still produce, but could be more injury prone and NBA having guarenteed contracts, its still kinda of scary.

There not going to be injury prone if they take care of themselves, Nash, Garnett, are in there 30s and at the top of there game, and Jordan, Stockton, Malone, played into there 40s while making major contributions to there teams.

Yeah I know, but they're are others on the other side of spectrum.

I just dont like those long, expansive contracts to players who are over thirty. Sure, I wouldnt mind having of them on the Raptors, but it's still a bit scary. They're the ones that **** over teams salary caps.

Jordan should have never came back. He struggled as a Wizard.

Jordan should come back again! j/k

But hypothetically if he did, at what level would he be able to compete?

I think he could play about 15 minutes per game off the bench and throw in a good 8-10 points still.

Jordan struggled with he played for the Wizards. For him to come back would mean that Juanita is suing him for a whole lot of money that he doesn't have. So he has to continue to play to support her. But in reality Jordan should stay out of the limelight and try to make the Bobcats a contender which will not happen anytime soon.
