USH'S GAME EPISODE III- 'ARTIFACT'. Light Side Area

You know, Gundy, you can't shake the feeling that you recognise the mind of that other Mogarian... hmm...

Lance caught Master Gundark's face as she was looking towards the other Mogarian. In her face he saw recognition of some sort.

[i]Could she know that thing?[i], Lance thought.

Actually, now you see her looking, Lance... it DOES seem like one you have felt before... if only you were better at this sensing thing!

(do I sense anything - I assume I can atleast sense the over"normal" excitment from gundark and lance or not)

You have a bad feeling, Marcus.

With a roar, and a huge cheer, the pods shoot off the starting line, two whizzing off VERY fast and two stalling before getting back into it!

They are soon out of sight as the enter the narrow corridors of the next part of the track. You follow them by camera.

Kellan imaged her voice ringing inside mah's helmet as she spoke to him on the radio. "mah, if you could speed it up a bit...we don't have 20 laps to jockey position with." She tried to encourage him. "I know you can do this. Use the Force. Trust your instincts."

"Have faith in the boy master kellan, he's well trained and he'll use his instincts wisely.... I really think there is no need to add any more possible distraction": said I, in my most calm voice

The race goes on. Several racers back up angrily against others in the Narrows, but the crowd is watching the battle between the other Mogarian and speedy... the Mogarian gets a better start in the Narrows but Speedy, with his faster pod, comes out ahead still!

At the back, Bashy is pushing up against Twisty, who is clearly having engine problems...

Mah still seems stuck in the middle.

NOW ENTERING: The Twists, lap 1.

The pods all pull together in the twist. The other Mogarian tries to chase down speedy but it turns into a disaster! Both of them put on far too much speed and have to actually stop their pods before they slam into a wall! They have to start moving again from scratch, as Dodgy and Quadro pass them.

The crowd cheers as there is the first physical contact- Bashy and Twsisty do much better in this section, and Bashy eventually cathces his prey and gives a nasty knock to the rear corner. Twisty wobbles out of control, but gets back in the game- though not before Bashy takes his place.

Mah has a bad start, nearly boosting into a wall, but then pulls off some perfectly timed cornering and is catching up with the leaders!

Incidentally, my mistake, Mah gave this reply to you, Gundy, as he was traversing the Narrows

"But Master, speeding up in the Narrows, where it's impossible to pass anyone, is that a good idea?"

The crowd whoops as things turn nasty in the Lake! The green mists obscure the cameras but this makes it more exciting still as several pods make aggressive overtake attempts! Looks like both Mogarian drivers are having a bad time of the racing, though...

"Just do the best you can, mah."

"Come on Mah, we know you can do it." Lance pretty much muttered under his breath.

The crowd whoops again as Bashy gives another nasty knock to Twisty as he tries to get past. Speedy, who started out in the lead, regains some places after shooting by Quadro, who is slipping all over on the lake. Both 'Mogarian' racers vigorously attempts to overtake them, though the cameras are not focussing on them.

The pods are rounding the final corner now to take them back to the straight and to pass back in front of you guys. The Mogarians are in a clump of four racers, all fighting for place!

NOW ENTERING: The Straight, Lap 2.

Incidentally, whilst you guys wait for something to happen (which is pretty much any moment now, btw, now that you have had your little turn at mere spectating) I'll post here for everyone all the conclusions people on your team got to during private conversations with them that I had.

Kuylen is searching for the Mausoleum of Demnos. To get that, he needs two things- its location, and a ship that can get there.

To get the location, he needs the maps from Avalar, and the Astrolabe. As it appears Kuylen already has what he need, to find him you need to get the Astrolabe also, to chase him there. The Jedi Archives can supply the maps.

To get a ship... the problem is that the Mausoleum is a long, LONG way away. He either needs a big ship with the range or to modify the small ships the DJs use. You know from the man the police interviewed that he has had the long-range hyperdrive fitted to his ship, as have the others.

It therefore seems very likely that it is these specialised long-range hyperdrives that the DJs stole from the depot! Indeed, when the police check, the debris analysis shows that such components were not there when the depot was blown.

The DJs have the means now to find the Mausoleum, it seems, which makes winning this race very important to you guys.

But two key mysteries remain:

1. The Murder at the Dojo. Makes NO sense at all! It has been theorised that the man was killed to keep him quiet, in which case this murder was done in an extremely 'loud' way, leaving the body to be found... also we have the timing problems as your prime suspects in the Mogarian suits joined 6 months ago! You have no suspects, no clear motive, and no way to tie this murder in with the other parts of the story.

2. Ascar. Did the DJs somehow get the Astrolabe and use it without him knowing? Why did the DJs not simply kill Ascar and TAKE the Astrolabe? Is Ascar working with them? Why the heck WOULD he do that, if he is? What could they offer him? If not even the Jedi knew that Ascar had a working Astrolabe, how did the DJs know of it?

Just some thing for you guys to think about...

The crowd cheers loudly as the pods pass through the Straight and in front of you people again. There is laughter as Quadro, who has taken the final corner of the last lap too wide, clips the side of the starting post and wobbles dangerous for a while, allowing the pack- including both Mogarians- to catch up! Now there is a tussle as all four pack members try to pass Quadro, who is desperately blocking to try and keep his place...

Meanwhile, there seems to be a certain disruption in the crowd behind you people...

The other Mogarian, concentrating on Mah, slips up, and gets totally blocked in by Quadro. Mah slips past into a very healthy third place!

Up front, Dodgy is going well but the crowd gasps as part of his pod starts to spark and burn, trailing puffs of smoke. Something big on his pod detaches and explodes as he enters the Narrows! And some cack-handed official releases the maintenance bots far too early, who swarm into the Narrows just as the racers are coming through! This is going to be nasty...

Speedy skids badly and loses time. He streaks forwards trying to catch Dodgy before the Narrows, but JUST doesn't make it.

At the back, everyone is looking forward to more fights between Bashy and Twisty, but to their disappointment, Bashy is pulling ahead...

The crowd disruption behind you guys is getting worse. Someone is trying to push through towards you.

Xeth watches the viewscreens intently. "Come on Mah, get into first! You can do it!" Xeth says to Mah with the radio.

Xeth also watches the other Mogarian. "Master Gundark, there is something odd about this whole situation..." he mutters. "There were two mysterious Mogarians that registered for sword training at Teshan's Dojo, and now two Mogarians are racing, one being Mah. Do you think the two Mogarians from the Dojo have anything to do with Ascar???"

Xeth also turns around to see what the commotion is behind him.

seeing that the commotion has disrupted my meditation atleast a bit I think I'll go and see what all the fush is about
