USH'S GAME EPISODE III- 'ARTIFACT'. Light Side Area

"Um... ah... yes, hang on..." One of his serious-looking officers passes him a file. "Take a look..."

Seems Vil uses very specialised, small bombs. They are so small that they bypass security sensors, which is how she gets them in. BUT they have no room for a decent trigger machanism (which would be detected by the sensors anyway).

Instead, they are remote activated- but the activator only has a range of about 100 yards. Vil will have to be close to his target to hit the kill switch.

BTW, small they may be but one would leave little of Mah or his pod.

I start looking around wether or not I can see anyone who likes like Vil
and I start concentrating on bad feelings and feelings of revenge

Vil is motivated by greed... an emotion that you are flooded with right now, what with all the betting!

No obvious suspects in sight.

hmm he can be anywhere in this crowed we need to find him, he probably needs a good signal so maybe we should try the pits since thats as close as you can get to the pods right?

To be honest, Marcus, there is a good chance he would be out of range if he was in the crowd.

cool then I go for the pits

Kellan's eyes flew through the file that the Prefect had provided. "Marcus is right. We've got to get down to the pit area before the end of the race." She was already heading back through the crowd. She had already asked a greal deal of mah in piloting that pod, but now her gamble had turned deadly. The thought of returning from this mission empty-handed to the Supreme Chancellor was pale in comparison to kneeling before Mace Windu and the rest of the Council with mah's blood on her hands.

Damn it, this crowd just won't give way!

I start looking for emergency exits if a guard or so tries to stop me I do a mind triclk

Oh, the guards won't stop you.

Yeah, you think do DID notice an emergency exit somewhere nearby...

She took a deep breath before sending her communication to the young Knight piloting the pod. "mah, I have something to tell you, but its important you keep your attention on the race. Do you understand ?"

She continued to push the crowd, noting that most Malastarians were unimpressed by the presence of Jedi.

Xeth quickly follows Master Gundark and Master Marcus. "The race can wait!" he shouts to the other Jedi with him. "We've got a Jedi to save!"

Xeth begins using his brute strength to get through the crowd. One Gran pushes him back, but Xeth aims his pistol at the man, who backs off. He then conceals the pistol in his robes again and continues to shove through the crowd.

You're a bit small to be pushing through the crowd like that, Xeth. Though there is a great deal of panic when you draw your gun. Moran puts his arm on you.

"What the HELL do you think you are doing?" he asks. "You can't draw a gun on these people!"

Kellan spun and stared Xeth hard in the face. "Come to your senses, Xeth ! We are representing the Jedi Order here. Lower your weapon, now !" She threatened him half with her voice, half with a nudge of the Force to his arm that gripped his blaster.

Xeth listen to mqster gundark, the code forbids the threatening of innocent ppl, now hurry!

I start running towards the thing that looked like an emergency exit

"Sorry, Master. I forgot I'm not on my own anymore," Xeth says, remembering his time as a Renegade Jedi Knight. He twirled his blaster to his holster and gave a menacing glance to the man who had pushed him back, and continued on.

(Ah, these Renegades, eh? Very in character, of course, but not 100% appropriate for this part of the game. NEXT game will be more Xeth;s kind of thing!)

Just waiting for the next section of the pod race to be done before I see how you all do...

In the Lake, obscured by the mists, the pack is still tight together. Mah pulls ahead of one of his rivals, but is in turn overtaken by another. At the front, where the audience watches, Speedy is gradually catching up with the race leader, Dodgy, and as far as the crowd is concerned it is now a two-horse race. At the back, Bashy boosts at the other Mogarian, who does not feel like making a fight of it and gives way!

Gundy and Xeth, this little tussle about weapons has slowed you guys down a bit as you head to... where ARE you two going, anyway?

Marcus, you have reached one of the emergency exits. Your way down is clear.

Mah responds, Gundy.

"Yes Master, I understand. What is it?"

Gundark directed Xeth toward an exit marked "pits" with a nod of her head as she spoke to mah over the communicator. "mah, we have good reason to believe your pod has a bomb attached to it. If so, it is set to denote on the last lap," she told him gravely. "Its a remote detonation. We are trying to find the device now."
