Just because two people look alike, doesn't mean they have the same DNA. If this is what your teacher told you, he/she needs to have their certification questioned. Just because I meet someone on the srteet that looks like a celebrity doesn't mean they are related to that celebrity.

1. Evolution is not a string of increasing complexities. On a specific level, a more complex system does not necessarily evolve later.
2. Male and female genders did not evolve seperately, they evolve together, through organisms that have the capbility to reporduce both asexually and sexually. Eventually regulation between male and female in a single individual became so extreme that sex became permenant.

Interesting. A lot of people feel the same about a 6,000 year old Earth, people created from dirt, two people being the progenitors of human kind, worldwide floods and a boat that can hold two of every species, angels, demons, a man who would be god and other general Christian mythology. Mainly because it's baseless.

And concerning people like Jerry Falwell, they are corrupted by Satan and do not know God's word and the only "christians" who will actually believe them will be those who do not know God's Word either and who cannot descern between evil and Truth. That is why Jesus said that we should keep God's Word in our thoughts and heart for there will be many false, corrupted and evil people claiming that they can bring "salvation", or claiming untruths about the Bible etc. and then the true children of God will not be misled for we know God's Word.
However, when Jesus said those words the bible had not been written. You are assuming that Jesus was talking about the bible.

Jesus used the Torah. The Old Testament is basically the Torah translated and rearranged into groups of books. The Torah itself is also arranged into groups of books i.e The Prophets, etc. So the Old Testament in our Bible is the same as the scriptures that Jesus used and referred to when he was teaching. There is more in the NT then just the teachings of Jesus. That is what I am talking about. There is the false teaching of Paul also in there.
