I don't think you can do that, the Phoenix is a fundamental part of the universe. IIRC, it's connected to the life-force of the universe, meaning that if you erase it, you erase a function of life. Keep in mind, I’m not talking about an avatar.

all thru this thread alot of people say parralax and such this is kyle-Ion he will get some wins but he does not have the experience,and if they were equal in power i would go with phoenix experience and psionics,to me psionics are not given enough thought here,kyle does not have the experience yet

Kyle has seen what Parallax did with the power, he would know what to do. The Phoenix Force requires an avatar to function effectivly therefore Ion makes the entropy rift it erases the avatar. Phoenix is nutralized.

i actually prefer ion to phoenix as a character,so please give it up,if you see a god re-ignite a sun that means you can do it to,cmon whos the lover here, your the one with a DC sig and avatar so keep squaking about enthropy rifts all you want, i will take the phoenix 8/10 now thanks

That requires an avatar to be effective, the avatar can be destoryed. if the phoenix takes physical form it can be destoryed.

Ion can create as many rifts as needed.

You really need to get over your bird love here, trust me its a one sided relationship.

sorry i work, cant run to my comics,so i guess that kyle green lantern can duplicate others powers and stunts,of course he can try,but i am trying to compare characters,i enjoy ion over phoenix but i dont think he will win, i think kyle-ion is out classed in powers and stunts,you want to debate that fine,or your saying he can create enthropy rifts and the point here is can phoenix survive it....then i think the phoenix can survive it..

1,who wins initiative(who goes first)
2, is it dodged or absorbed?
3,what resistances do the characters have
i ground my assesments by giving everything a value and playing it out,every system out there for roleplaing superheroes has rules and values for the characters powers abilities and such so characters have a guideline and a system to play thier characters in so we have to determine what those stats are and apply them,thats what i do,i have been a gamemaster for 16 years and thats just my system,it does not have to do with who i like or favor

Why are you debating if you don't have knowledge about one of the characters?

Ion wins hands down!

ion had a 6 issue run when he first got the power i think 146-?
then he got his own comic which is up to 6(eagerly waiting for 7)
he has proven multiversel? oh wait that goes back to all the parralax stuff in this thread,ion is not parralax,and if i am right the new ion is differnt from the ion kyle first turned into so he is just starting to use his powers to their best ability so he is fairly untested...what now
