mr master what was your overall thoughts on die by sword?

I gave it mixed reviews.

The story kinda contradicts itself, and left me with several questions on my mind.

They never gave us closer as to who that Jaspers was,
first they make us believe it is the original,
then they state it may not be really him,
then they leave the conclusive info in the air.
(yet this Jaspers demonstrated power on ridiculous levels)

Jaspers was never defeated in that arc,
he would've taken everyone out
if not for the "original" Fury that took over his body.
So Fury basically owns Jaspers.

Ok.

Then Fury (who's supposedy the original Fury)
gets owned by Blinks energy quills. 🤨

Fury ... the cat who can withstand the nullification of Time/Space & Jaspers' warp.

Of course the story has to end at some point but that was ridiculous.
..............................................................................................

I posted these earlier in the thread, more comedy:

The Fury sneaks into a knife wound on Merlyn's ankle.

That's a funny one,

in Book #1 - Merlyn took a blast to the chest from Jaspers that blew out his torso:

Merlyn reforms completely instantaneously.
...........................................................................................

Now this knife wound that took place back in Book #4:

Is still fresh at the end of Book #5:

😆 I ain't making this up, what's going on here?
..............................................................................................

Roma dies from a knife wound to the chest:

She better be faking it for whatever reason like last time,
or this is the pinnacle of absurdness.
..............................................................................................

Merlyn creates a copy of Roma in Book #4, it had a mission,
it was completely forgotten, I never saw it again. 😂

..............................................................................................

Finally, there's these mysterious figures:

Who the heck is the older couple at the end?
Those aren't Betsy's parents.
The man was once considered to be a god, huh?
This cat shaped all and gave some life to those that protect the Omniverse.
(sounds like Merlyn, but that can't be)
Who is this guy?

They go from Betsy hugging Brian,
then they show Betsy as she talks with the couple,
all of a sudden,
we realize she's still hugging Brian good-bye, after she departs from the couple,
she says she's "thinking about friends."

hum

They went ahead and stated that World had ended ... What? (Reality the story took place in)

I still have no idea who these people are, or what their purpose ever was in this arc.

It's like Roma is supposedly dead,
Merlyn has lost his marbles and is now evil.

This couple could be a Father & Daughter,
they're departing it seems,
the Man (who was once a "god" ... is stated to have manipualted/created the Corps)
perhaps the essence of the real Merlyn & Roma?
(that's who they're alluding too, but I have no concrete opinion from the info)

all on all pretty screwy then?

i felt slightly underwhelmed by it.

Um... those are Dave and Paty Cockrum

Dave passed away back in November. This is a tribute to them.

Also where do you think Numinus factors into the grand scheme of things?

I have to disagree with ya there X.

While they're definitely not at their classic levels,
they are still very impressive, especially Molecule Man.

The LT himself called Owen Reece (limited version)

"One of the most powerful beings in all Creation" (Omniverse)

I know that. You probably misunderstood me. I didn't mean I would remove MM from the 12nd place, the current MM. I just meant Pre-R MM and Pre-R Beyonder, hence they were retconned, they were never all that, not of they did, count. But MM is still extremely powerful, just not like he was, when he wasn't retconned.

And Protege could never be more powerful than the LT,
because in the end the LT stated that power beyond this existence is meaningless.

Still, Protege did copy his power. That is why I said potentially, he could eventually go beyond him, with copying other powers and only adding to himself. Or maybe he wouldn't be able, since he had LT powers and couldn't go beyond him, this is why he said ''because in the end the LT stated that power beyond this existence is meaningless''. But we know words are not all that. And then we know what THOTI did.
And in the end, both Scathan and LT were needed to defeat Protege.

No way.

Well, based on feat, yeah. I only give LT beyond Wanda, because of bios.

I have to disagree,
Havok/Nexus is an Omniversal buster, there are sevearl as the list point out.
But having said power doesn't mean that there are others above you.

That's where Marvel's concept of "levels of Infinity" fits in.

Merlyn/Matyrix can do anything Havok can,
and yet 238 Jaspers (who had only warped one Universe at the time)
was more powerful than Merlyn
(who fused the entire Omniverse into tiny crystals to be used with the CN)

Well, I agree about you with Havok in that place, only because he didn't have enough feats.
But I still think what I said before.

I believe you're right Cresh,
I still didn't enjoy the confusion they caused me.

I thought that ending "tribute" banner was just thrown into the mix,
I had no idea it was these illustrated figures partly involved in this story.

I'm not really sure where to place Numinus,
she's a universal guding spirit
that seems to get involved in certain affairs of certain sentient beings,
manipulating the activities of beings in order to guide them to do good, it seems.

Numinus has only appeared once that I know of,
Power Pack #51, and I don't have that issue.
According to her bio, he was able to erect an impenetrable force field,
other than that,
she only made self proclaimed statements and convinced Power Pack to heed her guidiance.

I would like to read that issue,
see if anything else happened not mentioned in the bio,
like this little scenery:

I'd love ta know what's happening there.

Nevertheless,
the bio does states that Numinus can tap into universal energies for various effects.

I agree,
although current MM is one of the most powerful beings in the Omniverse,
he's still below the LT,
unlike Pre-MM, who was above the LT.

But I must concede,
current MM is all that, just not as all that as he once was. 🙂

Well THOTI was Toaa/god's manifested power withIN the Omniverse,
so that shouldn't really count.

But I agree with most of your post.
I disagree on taking the LT's words lightly,
when writers create dialogue for the LT,
it's as though they're speaking themselves.
Because Toaa/god is the artists/writers
and the LT represents them on panel, sortaspeak.

LT has some crazy feats under his belt, so I have to disagree.

LT has not only held the embodiments of Two Megaverses in one hand,
but indeed,
the LT holds all of Marvel in his hand, and he alone decides it's destiny.

LT was going to replace the 616 Reality with the Ultimate Universe (that's uberdiculous)
....................................................

What Wanda collapsed and rebuilt (the Omniverse)
the LT manipulates in one hand.

Hey don't get me wrong, Havok/Nexus was all powerful,
but the other Omniversal powers are/were also.

There's only a few cats above them.

I knew for all LT high feats, but missed that one, he held all Marvel (I thought it was two megaverses, that is nothing compared to Wanda), but now after reading your explanation about holding all Marvel is uber.
And I compared once PF to LT or Wanda. Silly me.

Kinda the same way. Because she was still doing with a gesture, with a thought. And she truly shown no limits. Or in my eyes kinda the same way, LT held all Marvel, Havok was all Marvel and could do anything.
But there is not doubt that I still give LT above them.

When looking what LT was, and helding all Marvel, it only gives you what THOTI was, puf.
Not only LT, but all combined were nothing compared to Thanos with HOTI.

Still, I thought there were more, but there aren't so many uber beings in Marvel, at least PF is one among them and still one of the most powerful in Marvel.

That fact was sitting right under my nose,
and I always overlooked it cause I was focusing on LT holding the Two Brothers.

It was within the same arc.

I agree.

But even if characters can do anything, they are all below the LT.
Unless otherwise illustrated like in the Protege/Scathan case.
(who seem to be somewhere in the realm of equals to LT)

Actually Havok wasn't all of Marvel,
he was the living connection of all realities in Marvel.

Like the bridge between Universes, that's what Havok embodied.

Still though, it gave him god-like status and yes, he could do anything.
including collapsing the Omniverse.

👆 (that's why it was Toaa/god's power) 🙂

I pretty much agree with the hierarchy. Good job.

Cube Beings ... displaying some power!

Kubik giving young Kosmos a lesson
concerning the nature of the Universe on a human scale.

Kubik & Kosmos exist beyond Three-Dimensional Space,
and yet, they're only considered "minor Omnipotents"

.................................................................................................................

Here Kubik states that the BeyonderS gave the FF their powers originally.

So they commence a test using the FF,
Kosmos appears to be in training while Kubik directs her.

Kosmos extracts the essences of the FF
and separates them from Three-Dimensional Space with a gesture:

.................................................................................................................

Here Kosmos removes the "dominant character trait" from each of the FF,
"that singular element of their psycho-genetic programming
which directs their every action."

This means they extract,

Reed's "superhuman intellect"
Susan's "vast capacity for compassion"
Ben's "tremendous courage"
Johnny's innate aggressiveness"

.................................................................................................................

So Kubik creates a huge sphere
for the FF to be tested individually without their "character traits"
Kosmos transfers the essences of the FF into the sphere with a gesture:

.................................................................................................................

I won't post every page but basically the FF were seemingly failing the tests,
so Kosmos actually stops Time, in order to discuss the progress of the test,
Kubik then re-animates Time:

.................................................................................................................

So in the end, even without their "character traits"
the FF individually adapt,
use versatility to somehow over come the odds,
they actually regained their powers during the tests
by reaching into other "traits" they haven't used much because of their powers.

The Cube beings are impressed:

.................................................................................................................

When Kubik returns the essences of the FF back to their lives on Earth,
he alters reality, so if the FF recall this experience it will as a dream they had:

.................................................................................................................

Kubik kicking knowledge about how his Omnipotence limits Kosmos and himself:

Question:

What's the highest dimension (numerically speaking) in Marvel?

Can u post the scans with Kubik and Beyonder

I think it's that joint LT & Eternity were standing in, the 16th.

That I've seen at least.

Although I think more were mentioned in Dr Strange's lesson of the Multiverse.
hmm ...
Let me take a peek at that.

Hey Mr Master, I'm curious as to what your current list is on the strongest of the Cosmics in Marvel?

Power Pack #51, and I don't have that issue.

I would like to read that issue,

Do you mave an instant messaging device? or an e-mail address you can PM me with?

I have just about evey power pack related comic now... there are a few titles I'm missing, but I have all the comics with power pack in the title. Numinus also mentioned something about going to see some celestials...

If Numinus is to believed she seems to be a universal aspect of serendipity, "fortunate coincidence" as it were.

I'm not sure where the scene with numinus and galactus came in however it was mentioned in powerpack 50 in the end blurb that Numinus was more powerful than Galactus and numinus did appear in power pack 52 as well.

Beyonder once said he was infinite-dimensional.

Hopefully you have #51 and I'll take 52 aswell.

Let me also see if I can find info on that Galactus/Numinus appearance.
See if we can find get the source issue, perhaps you may have it.
Perhaps it's in another issue that I may have.

Impossible Man:
(when written that way)

.......................................................................

1. Classic Beyonder

beneath him ... Classic Molecule Man:

(yall know why)

.......................................................................

2. The Infinity Being:
(his power was the first to create all the Realities in current Marvel
he also created the Infinity Gems)

.......................................................................

3. (SHARED Spot)

The LT
(only TOAA is above him Now, only THOTI has defeated him)

Scathan (GOTG) (I disaprove of this ... but it is Canon)
(pwnd Protege who copied the LT's power - he may be equal to the LT)

Protege
(Protege never defeated the LT, he did copy his Power)

I know, but it's Canon.

.......................................................................

(Shared Spot)

Alien Entity
(folded the entire Omniverse to the point before its creation (the Void)
then re-created the Omniverse with Reed's mind literally from nothingness)

The BeyonderS
(tiny fraction of their energy empowers CCUs)

HOM Wanda:
(completely re-structured 616, subconciously collapsed the Omniverse,
consciously rebuilt the Omniverse from its collapse)

Sis-Neg:
(he did the same thing the Alien Entity did when Marvel was a single Universe)

.......................................................................

6. (SHARED Spot) in no particular order:

Classic Jaspers 616
(more powerful than Merlyn, could only be defeated by a Plot Device - Fury)

Not too sure how I should rank the Fury itself.

Jamie Braddock:

FP CCU:

so imagine the 6 Gems in the IG)

Captain Britain w/Excalibur and Amulet of Right:
(the Hand of God, can sunder the Omniverse)

FP Meggan:
(absorbed power from the Pan-Dimensional Beyond "BeyonderS" ...
paused the Chaos Wave for a moment)

The Makers:
(they can Re-arrange entire Universes to fit their desires)

Atleza:
(Anchors the Prime Universe (616) from being pulled into the Void/Obivion)

Galactus Insatiable:
(only seen once) ... Potentially Higher ...
(was in the process of absorbing a Universal Timeline connected to 616,
according to Reed & GOTG, Galactus was going to absorb the Omniverse basically)

Genis Insane/Photon at Full potential he would be towards the top:
(seen during HOM) can blink a Universe In and Out of existence)
