Roma might've manipulated that end,
just like she faked her death during the Abraxas arc.
There's no proof as of yet of this,
but it wouldn't surprise me since both Merlin and herself have done so in the past,
always with some agenda in mind we find out later.
Blink didn't take out MJJ/Fury, that claim is false.
Fury took out Jaspers,
and while Fury was still regenerating (weakened)
Captain Britain and Avalon, attacked Fury damaging it further,
then Blink dumped her entire collection of energy quills into Fury,
finally Fury was beaten.
But let's not forget, although the scene was still pis on Claremont's part,
atleast he hinted to us that this MJJ and Fury were not the originals.
Still, MJJ never got owned by anyone other than Fury,
it was this "Fury" and this "Fury" alone that got owned,
in fact, MJJ was on his way to destroying the Omniverse,
he literally wiped out nearly an infinite number of Captain Britain Corps
with a wave of his hand, original JJ or not, that's uber.
