Good and evil don't exist, just like god, love, goblins and big foot.

The absolutes of good and evil as believed by Christians do not exist, but good and evil do exist as a way to describe a human condition. What Hitler did was evil, but only evil in context.

Why was what Hitler did Evil?

Why was what Hitler did Evil?

Two reasons:

1. The lives of those people who died in the death camps. Suffering is evil.

2. We must choose to see what Hitler did as evil because we do not wish to have anyone do that to us.

Evil is a yard stick that I and you can use to make judgments about the world and the life we wish to live.

True evil is when this yard still is miss used to bring people into suffering.

School children suffer when they are in school sick being forced to know something they don't want to, having to starve or eat the same unhealthy meal every lunchtime, and even having a mental disorder is suffering. Being oppressed is suffering. In fact, I think sufferig mental is about as "bad" as suffering physically.

Oops, I think I've just described most of my like. 😮

How can you choose what's evil and what's not? Controlling your emotions is like controlling reflexes, opinions or your sub-conscious mind.

Yes, but how can you say something is evil or good (as a fact)?

Life is suffering but not all suffering is evil. You should read some of the accounts from the Holocaust.

You have a good life.

How can you choose what's evil and what's not? Controlling your emotions is like controlling reflexes, opinions or your sub-conscious mind.

I follow the teaching of Buddha, and I always keep in mind that I could be wrong.

Yes, but how can you say something is evil or good (as a fact)?

How can you say anything as a fact.

???

I meant yard stick, not yard still.

Hiter might've promoted the holocaust, but he didn't cause it, I don't think I recall him saying "Burn these people," or anything along those lines. It's like saying General Haig thought it was a good idea to send all those troops across no-mans land to get shot. He didn't know that his plan was failing, as Hitler didn't know how the JEws were gettig exterminated. Evil, or ignorant?

1. You are wrong about Hitler, please study more about WW2 and the Holocaust. Enough said...

2. You don't know how good your life is.

3. Why is it good for me?

4. Don't think about too hard.

5. Never mind.

1. Possibly, but you can't call someone evil for being different.

2. Nor do you know my life.

3. It's a figure of speech.

4. Yeah, I'm a little tired anyway.

5. Okay.

1. I'm not talking about someone being different. I don't know where you got that.

2. That is correct, but I do know human nature, and most people your age think they have it hard when they don't.

3. I know, I was just kidding with you. 😄

Hitler is different, you're calling him evil because you don't agree with the things he did/thought.

Again, you don't know me, I'm how you say "socially retarded" apparently...

🙄

I don't believe that Hitler is evil; his actions are evil.

I don't think you are "socially retarded". You just have not found your place. I was a nerd when I was your age. I outgrew it later in life.

Explain how these actions are evil.

I guess.

Now that I think about it. Making people suffer isn't evil.

exactly. Evil is not an absolute.

I never said evil was an absolute. I said evil was a yard stick.

Hitler did not think of himself as evil. I don't think he set out to do evil things per se, however the outcome of his actions have caused other people to suffer, making him seem evil in their eyes.

In his state of mine, he (possibly) did not think of himself as evil, but rather as good.
