ROFL!

"No, no, not a BF. Please not a BF, don't write a letter" 😛 I <3 White Chicks, lol. Totally OT, but sometimes I actually say that at home (as a joke) but change it to a "diva fit" since I don't curse, lol.

DIVA! You wrote a fic! Oh gosh, I can't wait till you post it! I'm sure its going to be great!!!

Oh, yay, PirateDiva! You have to tell us the title so we can all leave reviews.

Oh god i am soooo nervouse seriously GINORMOUS BUTTERFLIES IN MY STOMACH!!!

Huge question though! how do i go about chosing the rating??

That's my ImpPiDiva--knew there was something...glad you were forthcoming and What the heck is the title? Also, we're not going to say nice things becos we like you, we're going to say nice things becos we like the story.

Does sorta feel like running down the street starkers, though, doesn't it? How cool is that? I wrote a tiny one last June and put it in the soup--never bothered me until I left a comment for this other person and she turned around and read my lonely little petunia.

oh, by the way, which ship? (No, no not the Tomatoes!! Sparrabeth right?lol--no teasing you smilie so you're on your own)

Oh i have a working title but it's not gonna be the name of it...thats actually whats delaying me in uploading the story, I'm trying to think of a fitting title! well that and i'm waiting for someone to tell me how to rate a story....like what qualifies it as mature? Do u rate each chapter? and so on!

Oh man I seriously cant shake these butterflies...im so nervous ladies....It's my first fic and im usually really private about my writings and stuff, I hate showing my stories for fear of rejection so getting ready to post is a BIG STEP for me! and i need someone to help me quick before i chicken out and not post it...lol!

Oh and of course it's Sparrabeth! lol

I'm afraid I don't understand. What exactly is this saying? Are T&T saying that this willabeth ending is supposed to make willabethers happy? I understand that there should be a division of fans. Writers love anything that incites fans' passions because it stirs the waters. I'm sure they also like hearing the different interpretations people have of their characters, but I don't understand why they double-backed on their answer about what happens to Will. Am I the only sparrabether who thinks this is unfair to everyone?

1. If there is no way to free him and he and Elizabeth can never be together, what is the motivation to be faithful to each other? (Yes, I do understand and endorse the power of marriage vows, but this is a very unique circumstance)

2. If T&T are advocates of marriage, as can be implied from the ending, then they must not be advocates of the nuclear family because they are giving Elizabeth the hardship of being a single mother not for 10 years, but pretty much every day of her life until Junior moves out or she dies, whichever comes first. Obviously they don't care much about the importance of family since Jack, Elizabeth, and Will all have a total of 2 parents that are left alive at the end of the series and the second generation of pirates is left with only one parent now too.

3. So...Jack has to step aside and get over the one woman he had a deep relationship with? Yes, I know we're in debate right now whether or not he loved her and whether or not he's meant to be with anyone at all, but now, whenever he comes to see her, he'll be tempted knowing she's going to be alone forever, not ten years, but forever. This also sort of makes Jack out to be a first class a**hole since in this scenario, the more merciful, selfless thing to do would be to have Will die and put out of his misery rather than give him a life where he can only see the woman he loves one day every ten years, not to mention subsequent children.

4. You're telling me that Tia Dalma can ressurect Barbossa from the dead (not the Locker, the dead) and Jack can be saved from the Locker but there's no way to lift Will's curse?

5. So...Elizabeth. I relate to her more and more every day since I am now pregnant and I'm Air Force while my husband is navy and we see each other about once a month for a few days for right now. I know it won't always be this way, but once a month can seem like forever. Everyone goes on and on about how men have urges but women have urges too and spirited, adventurous Elizabeth can't act on them? She has to be the born-again Virgin Pirate King? She has to raise a child by herself?

6. So remember how back in DMC Will decided that even though his father abandoned him, he wasn't going to repeat the cycle? Remember how he said he would stick with Bootstrap and not abandon him? Will, for all his faults, is not a love-you-and-leave-you type of guy. This has to be eating him up that he not only is forced to abandon his wife but now has to abandon his own son. Looks like the Turners are just generations of dead-beat dads, although it's not Will's fault.

if this new information is correct, then Sparrabethers won, in my mind. No way, no how T and T could in any alternate universe ask us to believe Elizabeth is going to have sex once every ten years for the rest of her life. Let's all be realistic. Not possible. Not even romantic in any sense of the word. I mean, I believe in marriage and such, but Elizabeth isn't a puritan; she's a pirate, she's a very passionate, wild person. Like Willo said, that's T and T killing the idea of true love conquering all, killing the idea of the nuclear family, and inciting the rage of women everywhere, not just feminists.

So the story can only go that Elizabeth understands the unique circumstances, keeps her heart true towards Will, but is also aware that life must go on and she has to enjoy it, right?

All right ladies and gents! The moment has come...the first 4 chapters of my fan fic SIGNATURES OF A UNION are now up for the world to read and hopefully like!

Seriously my stomach is turning and is in serious knots, go easy on me girls! Let me know what u all think! Good or Bad! 😖 lol

I see you've posted your story, so I'm sure you used good judgment. I would say just rate things T for teen to be safe unless you go really graphic into sexual details. They don't seem to mind gory violence, just the gaphic-ness of the sex, lol. I know it's scary sometimes for people to read what you write, but if you think about it, you've been doing nothing but writing to all of us for a long time now. You know?

We'll all read it and give you reviews. Keep in mind most people critique with the intention of making the writing better, so just nod your head and with an objective eye, see if what they say is true. Hearing what other people think is one of the best ways to improve.

I look forward to your story!

Kate...that seems to be the sentiments of Sparrabethers across the forum....bad news for Willabeth..and possible good for Sparrabeth. Jack and Elizabeth are of the living world....in my own story of AWE continued....WIll realizes how unrealistic this all is...and sets Elizabeth free.....she and Jack go in search of the FOY...because Jack always has to be searching for something...Jack and Liz come together...but some believe that they raise Will Jr. together..and some say that the child is Jack, that Lizzy do not conceive a child with Will...the hat, the song.....

Oh, by the way..I thought you all would find this funny...on one of the Willabeth sights on the net.....they are saying that Sparrabethers are saying that Jack and Lizzy conceived the child during the Parachute Scene...LOL>> 😱 As we say...Jack is good, but HE IS NOT THAT GOOD...then I jokingly told one "well, come to think of it, the lower parts of their bodies were awfully close to each other!"..LOLOLOL

we even joked about how we could write a fanfiction about it....jack, Lizzy, and sex in a parachute!

Conceived a kid on the parachute? They mean when if Jack thrusted like an inch, it might be enough to buck Liz back into the choppy water? Lol. They mean like grief-stricken Liz who is beside herself with agony suddenly turned on? Jeez....these two are not in the mood in that scene.

I guess willabethers are as big into the rumor mill as anyone else. I like to think we here at KMC have more intelligence than that. I firmly believe the kid belongs to Liz and Will, but to play devil's advocate, who's to say the kid is exactly 10? He's small, could pass for 8 or 9 even. lol

he can't be exactly 10, Elizabeth was pregnant some time, so he's around 9 and 3 months

Very true. I stand corrected.

oh my! I don't know anything much about sex, but somehow, i just don't think there is any way Jack and Lizzie could have joined the mile high club during the parachute scene. for 1, that's stealing from pearl harbor. for 2, we'd all hate Liz if she did that; Will JUST died! And she JUST married him! I dont think a newly widowed woman would express her grief by undoing the pants of the bloke trying to save her life. And for 3, that's highly offensive to the good captain: would he really want his first experience of Lizzie to be fully clothed, in full view of everyone in the caribbean, limited to about 30 seconds?

funny thought, though. i laughed. 🙂

i suppose realistically, its still a disney movie and we have to in some way concede the kid is will and liz's (cheesy honeymoon knee orgasm scene would have been worthless otherwise), and that Liz does wait for him, but it makes me hate Will a ton, and wish Jack had put him out of his misery instead of prolonging it.

I mean, do we want to think of Jack as the kind of guy that frolicks with another man's wife during the (albeit long) interim? Something tells me Will wouldn't just "set her free"... though that would be the thing to do in my mind... and the scene after the credits certainly suggests they are still very much together. Elizabeth wouldn't be able to face Will like that if she had been enjoying life with Jack all those years... and not only that, but I think it would take Jack a long while to get over all the crap she's pulled anyways.

But then, once again, the curse makes no sense. Why was Davy Jones so pissed that Tia wasn't there after 10 years? I mean, the film made it sound like that was what had determined that Davy Jones was stuck on the dutchman for the rest of his life. I don't think he would have cut his heart out and made life hell for so many people just because he missed 1 opportunity of sex. There was more to it than that. So if Liz is faithful, Will ought to be freed, right? Or does that just mean he doesn't turn into a sea creature?

it just means he doesn't turn into a fish creature...Will is bound to the dutchman forever....he only gets one day on shore every ten years...it says so on the Q and A on the DVD cover for AWE released by Disney....

I can't make sense of how it's really supposed to be. Someone needs to directly ask T&T because Disney makes a habit of just assuming things. I'm not crazy about the ending of AWE anyway, but to make Will cursed forever is just cruel and stupid. I'm sure plenty of people will disagree with me, but if Jack knew that's how the curse worked, he must really REALLY fear death to the point that he sees this horrible kind of existence as better than death. If he didn't know and just figured Will would live forever, that's different. But if I had been in his situation, well, I wouldn't have stabbed the heart, but I would have had someone else do it and let Will die. Jack cares about Will, don't care what anyone says, and he cares about Elizabeth's future. The more moral thing, if he knew about the curse, would have been to let Will die and take Liz to safety.

Here's a better scenario: Will takes off, Elizabeth mopes for about a week before spotting the Pearl in the horizon. She swims out and joins Barbossa, who got hopelessly lost without the map. Luckily Elizabeth has a little something she kept in memory of Capt. Jack... the compass. So they chase down Jack, negotiate an arrangement, and all set out for the coast of Florida. After many adventures, Elizabeth and Jack gradually move beyond the stale-mate they seem to have come to in AWE. Elizabeth is troubled because she loves Will and wants to be faithful to him, but obviously is enjoying Jack's company and appreciating him in her life. Meanwhile, Jack sets his mind on getting over Lizzie. Once at the fountain of youth, Jack and Lizzie are the first to discover it, and debate whether they should drink from it or not. Lizzie decides to, in order that she can be there for Will once every ten years for eternity. Jack warns it might not be what it seems. Lizzie drinks, but does Jack? Suspense builds. The drought seems to have a strange effect, as Lizzie finds herself irresistible drawn to Jack, and it's not long before they succumb to temptation. Not long after, Elizabeth realizes she is pregnant and puts together clues from the fountain of youth map and warnings from various sailors that rather than provide perpetual youth, the fountain provides the perfect conditions for carrying on one's legacy, so to speak. Now Elizabeth must find out whether the child is Will or Jack's, whether she has condemned Will by her infidelity, whether there is a way to break Will's curse, and what to do about Jack. Soap Operas of the Caribbean, here she comes! 😉

The kid's definitely Will's. How else can it be if Disney showed the implied sex scene between Liz and Will? Sex on a parachute? Pur-lease..! For Jack, Liz is and will always be THE ONE even after he has been with dime a dozen women after AWE, even if she belongs to another man. Great love stories seem to always end this way. It's like do we ever get married to our soul mates - NEVER or maybe an extremely small percentage might but I think it's very very rare.

Well....as much as I like to fantasize...I know the child is Will's...right, the implied sex on the beach...

And Willo...Jack knew the curse was forever...that's why he wanted to be the one to stab the heart...forever immortal..never have to worry about death..and it wasn't a horrible life for Jack..he would get to be at sea for eternity...."my first and only love is the sea".........it's only horrible for Will cuz he can only see Liz and Will Jr. once every ten years and Will is not a sea-lover but a land lover...so it's ironic that Will was the one who ended up at sea for eternity........

"you will carry dirt with you, jack sparrow, cuz land is where you are safe"

Then I don't think of Jack's action as heroic as I did before. The only saving grace I can think of now for why Jack would do such a thing is because he is so afraid of death, that he believes now he should stop his friends from dying at all costs. Maybe he figured Will would go to a Locker-like state. And plus Davy Jones had to be destroyed. At least Will won't be any pirates' enemy since he pretty much is one now. But, grr, that was a stupid thing to do. And you can't tell me he's that selfish to do that to Elizabeth. I would have found some other way and taken his body to a witch doctor or somebody to get it resurrected like Barbossa's. Barbossa came back no strings attached simply because he had a Piece of 8 (which was Ragetti's anyway so it didn't matter) but Will is cursed forever because of some stupid thing Calypso made up? Psh, I say: let them all die at sea. It would be better than to be forever sailing the same ship with the same people year after year with one chance to go to land every ten years...and if you don't have anyone to see, what are you going to do in that time? Spend it drinking? I think if Will picked me up and asked me to serve on the Dutchman, I'd ask him to take his neat little sword and finish me off.

Now you're talkin'!

After much thought, I have come up with an answer.

Here is my most educated guess:

This change in decision about the nature of the curse that is appearing on the DVD cover has to do with Pirates 4.

I specifically remember one of the Ts stating ON wordplayer that after 10 years, Will was free. Though this seemed to deny everything that was said in the movie, and be purely an afterthought meant to comfort upset fans, I don't doubt that was something they had discussed, but never decided on for sure. Because they wanted to keep things wide open for film 4. Now, I know we've all heard the various rumors that Will and Elizabeth wouldn't appear in a POTC 4, but the nature of the 3rd film, and especially the final scene, would suggest they will be in it. Because, simply enough, THINGS ARENT RESOLVED.

NO ONE is satisfied with a situation where Will and Liz get to see each other once every ten years... so methinks they've added this bit to the DVD cover to stir up angst in preparation for some announcement about a fourth installment... in which Will may be freed from his curse forever.

Maybe I'm just getting delusional or desperate for a somewhat decent ending, but there's my thought on the matter.
