Sparrabeth

I think it would still be the same film but edited better maybe. Unless you means the writers spent more time on the story itself with the director and actors.....

😑 🤨 😖

I think they would have spent more time on the story, made sure it was exactly what they wanted to do and SHOW us things rather than TELL us. It seemed like it had the least amount of action of all the movies because we had to hear so much damn EXPLANATIONS of things. They spent so much time explaining Calypso and the brethren court and stuff that they neglected to explain the things that really needed it.

you know Willo...just another one of the many plotholes.....yes, Will didn't consciously stab the heart, so why is he the immortal Captain, seems to me it should still be Jack...it was his decision to stab the heart, he had to hold Will's hand...

Ah....wouldn't it have been great, if Jack had taken Lizzy's hand, his hand and Will's...and all three would be immortal and they could all take turns being Captain of the FD! LOL

Wow, it would be like the three musketeers or something. But that obviously wouldn't work because, technically, Will and Jack stabbed the heart but since it was Will's hand he's the captain.

What they could have done is maybe have a shot where it shows Jack contemplating taking Will's hand and he could look at Will's face, and Will, with his last ounce of strength, could nod to him to go ahead and do it. Then it would be 100% Will's choice and Jack just helping him along. But it looked like Will was already dead or at least to far gone to make any decisions when it happened.

I guess what would have been much worse is if Elizabeth would have taken the heart from Jack and in another moment of not really thinking things through, she stabbed it and became the captain and Will just died. Jeez that would have sucked. There is even a fanfiction that, imo is in poor taste, where Liz kills herself and her crew at sea so Will will come and pick them up and they can be together.

There should be some lawyer of the sea that could read some contract and say "yep, that's a definite decision to stab" or "no, the other guy was the actual stabber."

i think they would have realized that, for the amount of story and stuff that needed to be explained, AWE needed to be split in to 2 movies and added a Pirates 4! or maybe not but with more time....TnT would have thought things over and with the movies making sense to them then the movie process would have been better.

Didn't Keira shoot a whole scene in the wrong Wardrobe/Costume? Wasn't production rushed because they had a deadline? Didn't they turn the film in like a week before it was suppose to be in theaters for it to get printed on film and distributed and stuff? Well with more time stuff like that wouldnt have happened! 🙂 and script would have been better and if anything they would have had enough time for reshoots if they felt stuff was missing...ya know! grrrr!

Anywhoo Gore vowed never to take on a project where he would have to make 2 films at once! He said it was the worst experience ever and he feared that the film suffered bc of that!

Yeah, I think it would have been better overall-- at the very least, i think they should have scheduled more time for re-shoots after DMC came out, because audience reaction is key to how you move forward, you know? And not just with love triangle stuff--- but what things are working, what aren't.

it would have given them more time to make sure they had the curse fully explained and clear to the audience, and potentially explained Calypso a bit better as well.

Certain scenes in AWE were perfect--- Shipwreck cove, Jack and Davy's fight in the maelstrom, really the parley scene was pretty fantastic, even the opening scene of death that i didn't like was really effective.

other scenes--- such as the Locker, needed to be refined a bit more. With literally a few lines snuck in here and there, they could have resolved Jack and Elizabeth's relationship in such a way that it made more sense. Not that I think Lizzie was going to say sorry, ever, but something to clear things up between them that wasn't "goodbye". honestly, same with W/E. A few lines stuck in after parley could have helped them immensely.

Was it lovelyone or tigers that said that T&T gave us 2 and expected us to make 4 without the other 2? It's a classic quote in the DMC commentary where one of them says they believe in giving the audience 2 and 2 and then let them make 4, meaning they don't have to explain every little thing. In theory, this is great and they actually pulled it off in DMC. We kind of get piece by piece the importance of the key and the chest and how close Jack is to getting to them. We get that he's not really substituting 99 souls for his own but is stalling for time to think of a way to get the chest. He figures if Will is on the Dutchman, he can get the key and if Jack gets the chest, they can take care of that problem. But one of those clever girls said AWE gave us only 2 and expected us to make 4.

It needed to focus on the relationships just a little more, not saying strictly sparrabeth, although that was a big one. They were just as choppy with willabeth, short-changed Norrington and Swann and Sao Feng, and reduced Davy Jones, who is supposed to be scary, into some jilted lover that is all talk with no bite....until the end where he either almost kills Will or succeeds in killing Will. At least in DMC Bootstrap had some angst going on, some real guilt in being reunited with the son he abandoned and we felt for him a little. He was just reduced to crazy. Same with Tia. She was okay in DMC and I've read lots of fanfictions where her role is very significant. But she's reduced to just someone who says nothing but mysterious, vague phrases and then the special effects take over. Beckett was GREAT except for that fact he had like a total of 10 minutes on screen.

I know this might not be the right place but

I CANNOT BELIVE THAT OUR LOVEGOD DIDN'T WIN THE OSCARS. I MEAN DANIEL DAY LEWIS? FOR CHRITS SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!! YES MR. LEWIS, THERE WILL BE BLOOD! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

HAHAHA!!! SO TRUUUEEE!!!

HAHAHAA!!!!!!!!! "YES MR. LEWIS THERE WILL BE BLOOD"

You slay me! There will be blood indeed.

Maybe he deserved it...you never know until u see the film...I haven't.
Apparently johnny was the runner up...everyone said he SHOULD win but that he won't cause Daniel day lewis' performance was so good it knocked everyone else out of the court. Oh well! We will get them next time.

And getting back to willo's discussion...yup! The relationships were very sloppy. I thought the actual plotline was okay but the character wise?? GAH!!! Not even the good acting could save it

I saw a couple of clips (milkshake!) and I must say he did deserve it. But I think Johnny deserves it as well... 😄

But they say sometimes the Oscar cannot hit. (heyhey)

(So, who's really in the doghouse???)

The thing I like about Cotillard winning was that it was fresh...it was new...a lot of people didn't expect it.
EVERYONE knew Lewis was gonna win. I just wanted to be surprised and the Oscars failed to surprise yet again...other than that I got no prob with Day Lewis. Just saying...it would be a surprise if say George Clooney won or even Lee Jones.

Okay! Okay! I'll drop it now...no more bashing the Oscars.
Moving on to bashing AWE...I personally thought the JWE friendship was really cool. An awesome trio that that could've kicked ass and all the JWE kicking ass we got was the parley scene. Awesome but not enough.

I am a big fan of the trio, too, tee, and I was happy they were all together more in AWE than the other two movies, but they didn't DO enough. The water fight is priceless and parlay kicks ass and I think that it is through each one of them doing their part that they were able to defeat Jones and Beckett. But it could have been brought home a little more, you know?

Another JWE a$$ kicking moment that I fully enjoyed was at the very end....when Will came back on the Dutchman and together they released fire on the Endeavor....I loved that!

I would have loved to have seen a scene where like all 3 of them used each other or helped each other to fight the Dutchman Crew. For example a scene like the one Elizabeth, Pintel, and Ragetti sharing the swords to fight in DMC would have been fun to watch had it been Elizabeth, Jack and Will, where they would be watching each others backs. lol

Cotillard (9-30-1975; 32) - - Wiki photo

http://imdb.com/name/nm0182839/mediaindex
She can have her dark, dull, French skin to herself.

Ew - Day Lewis (4-29-1957; 50) is old-fashioned terribly to himself. Toss out complainers shit.

George Clooney (5-6-1961; 46) looks old.. and I know why.

Lee Jones (9-15-1946; 61) Yesterday's garbage?

Basically, I don't like ppl who are jealous of Johnny Depp. dev

I wanted to live thinking either X out baby boomers or include. They look just happy that I always feel in constant Hell on why in the world do I exist and that they get to die now/soon anyway. I don't really wonder, but people like Amanda Bynes make the whole world wonder.

--------------------

Oh, and I forgot @ JWE. Well, it doesn't impress me with the world. But I was glad to have a gig to watch then.

Oh, and bashing AWE - Well, no, I don't want to be a baby and at the same time have one.

Yes, a 3-way swordfight would have been a lot of fun. Amazing how Elizabeth can get so good at swords so quickly, huh? lol. On imdb it says that one stunt she does where she stabs the two monsters behind her when she has both swords is sort of a copy of one of Orlando Bloom's stunts in the LOTR series. So it's kind of funny how they have a similar fighting style.

If I was Willabether, I'd say it's because they are a destiny couple.
But because I'm not I think it's because just he taught her
