Sparrabeth

Awww, thanks, Freedom! I'm proud to count myself among fellow Sparrabethers. I've been going strong for 2 years and there's no sign of my obsession ever ending! lol

Lol, I know this is stupid, but the newer Parent Trap movie was on the Family Channel and the mom's name is Elizabeth. Well, when she reunites with the twins' dad, he calls her Lizzie and asks if anyone calls her that anymore and she seemed to just melt when he called her that. My obsessed brain just thought of sparrabeth there.

Sorry for the double post, but I have a question. On the KTTC sparrabeth thread (good luck finding it btw) someone mentions that the cuttlefish speech in AWE is a hint/clue to Jack and Liz's relationship. Can someone clarifiy that? I think it's more about the condition of Shipwreck Cove, but I'm open to any interpretation that serves as evidence for our favorite couple. Ideas?

Lmao!! Omg!! Willo!! I sooo thought the same thing when I was watching that part!! I was like Lizzie!!! awwwww!! Omg we are hopeless!! lol...Oh Sparrabeth!!! 😍

and I will look into the cuddle fish thing and get back to u!! 🙂

Cuttle fish? Really? I'm curious too...please let me know if you find out.
And I agree.. I know which part you're talking about and I was like 'Lizzie!" yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

The cuddlefish/cuttlefish monologue is one of the quotes listed on imdb.com.

*sighs* Beautiful!!! I find myself reminising! 🙂

Wish I could access youtube from work. Later, Diva, later.

I just want to gush for a second and say how much I love getting into Jack's mind writing his bio. It's been an absolute joy and now that I'm writing the part that takes place around AWE, it's even easier to see just how little impact it's had on fans when compared to the first two. I could google the first two movies and never run out of screencaps or copies of the script for reference. But when I try to get the AWE dialogue right and look up the script? Nothing! I've resorted to coming here and looking up our translation thread where we just made fun of the whole thing! It's not that I hate AWE, but there is just something about the first two movies that captures the imagination and I'm going to go out on a limb and say sparrabeth has a lot to do with that.

I can totally see that Willo!! Last night I was watching AWE but i cant help but feel that its sooo different from the 1st 2 movies that it doesnt really feel like a movie u know! It doesnt quite fit! Its wierd to explain but after I watch it, it feels like it's nothing else but a fanfiction...u know! Like someone else created it and not Ted and Terry!! Like the movie was headed for a certain direction but somewhere down the line someone had a change of heart (and I'm not talking about the characters but like the writers, or executives, producers etc.)and continued from there without bothering to make changes to the begining so that it matches or flows with the ending...u know!!??? do i make sense?....*sighs* I fear that I dont! 🙁

oh man! And it frustrates me soooooooo much that Will and Liz are constantly bickering about Jack and how she knows that he thinks she loves Jack and yet doesnt do anything to about it! She lets him believe it! It frustrates me too how Jack lets her off the hook!!! Ugh!!!

And the "It would have never worked out between us," "Keep tellin urself that darling," scene has never killed me as much as it did last night!!! It was like a stabb in the heart all over again (multiple times) but worse...this time the knife twisted after each stabb!! 🙁

Don't worry, Diva. My fic is fixing all these "little" problems we all had with AWE, but it still feels weird. I understand what you mean there. I was having a blast writing the pre-movie years, COTBP, and DMC. They wrote themselves. AWE is work. It's bad enough there is no script anywhere so I have to watch the thing, and it takes some mental preparation to watch AWE. It just does. And I can't watch all of it without getting choked up, so I watch the sections that I need. Then I have to go back and think, "why the hell is this going on in the first place? Barbossa and Liz need a ship from Sao? How did they get to Singapore in the first place? Walk?" So it's like a big logic puzzle, but I think I'm getting there. And I'm going to give you a happy ending. Promise.

*sighs* A little flashback!!!

*faints* They still make me catch my breath!!

Sparrabeth FOREVER!!!!!! 😍

WOOT!

clap LONG LIVE SPARRABETH!! That scene is my absolute favorite. *sighs happily*

Sighs, such inspiration. The little details of that scene...the way her hands just knead him, the way his eyes roll back even though they're already closed, how close they are as Liz breaks away...how did we all just not die of sensuality-overload when we first saw it?

Well Willo i nearly did!! If i remember correctly i nearly had a stroke!! The scene was so powerful and sensual and MEANINGFUL that it literally made my heart stop! But the birth of Sparrabeth is what revived me!! lol

I really love how Jack and Elizabeth dont even need to speak to communicate....I love how they talk with their eyes!!! The looks they give each other speak volumes!! Their chemistry never seizes to amaze me!! I love them!! and I always will!! *sighs* 😍

ya'll know me already I always forget to jot down the name of the artist of any art that I put up! lol...so credit to the artist who made it...u know who u are! lol

(sizzles and dies) I can't get enough of them tonight, which sucks because I need to get up early. Your artwork is beautiful, Diva. The background really enhances the beauty of Curiosity. I hope I did it justice in my fic. This latest chapter includes Persuasion, so I'm not quite to Curiosity yet, but it's written and I'm on pins and needles about it because it's my favorite scene. It's better than the kiss, imo. It shows us all the great things about sparrabeth- the equality, the recognition that they are two sides of the same coin...intrigued and terrified of recognizing that. And then it just seems like a dance, like the two of them coming together is instinctual and planned somehow. It's always seemed like they were designed for each other, that they knew what their perfect man/woman would be like and then suddenly, that perfect being appeared on the most unlikely day. It's such a missed opportunity. It really is.

Jerry B, TnT, Disney and Gore broke our sparrabeth hearts. I can never watch AWE ever again. The pain can't seem to go away even after 2 years. It's like my heart is missing now. Fan fic just doesn't do it for me. I need POTC 4 to redeem everything.

For some reason, AWE doesn't bother me that much. I hate what T&T did to us, but I try to ignore it the best I can. It's just sort of like an annoying little bug that I can step on and kill. 😉 I kind of push it aside and bury myself in my DMC Sparrabething world. If I focus on AWE too much, I'll have my heart torn out again. It's incredibly hard to watch the Whelpabeth AWE scenes. The only way I can stand to look at the screen is to imagine lovely Jack in the Whelps place, and then it feels so comforting, so right. DMC is my fix whenever I'm feeling the weight of Willabeth crashing down around me. I just watch Curiosity, and the Kiss of the Century, feeling chills run up and down my spine and squeeing uncontrollably. *melts into a puddle* Never shall our ship die!!

I don't watch AWE after all. I've only seen it twice, but evertime I watch Pirate movies, just the first two. Well, fanfiction helps a litlle bit, but I wanted to see it for real. I so hope they'll do it in the 4th movie, but I don't believe they'll do it, as much as it frustrates me.
