i couldn't' stand that version of Lois. couldn't spell or cook, smoked, and was fooled by the same man she works with everyday by some glasses.
You would be surprised at who wouldn't recognize an everyday neighbor...ask Henry Louis Gates III (60 year old Cambridge University professor with a walking cain). His neighbor called to police on him for being a burglar whilst he was unlocking his own door to his house because she didn't recognize him after being a neighbor for over 20 years.
By that note, Lois was just fine not recognizing a man she works with with his glasses on or off.

i wouldn't believe that until WB was actually into production of the movies.everyone seems to have short term memory but WB made the same hype with Green Lantern movie, that a sequel was on the way and saying it was going to be a shared universe and kick start the JL movie.
That might have something to do with the fact that Green Lantern flopped.
MOS on the other hand has more than doubled it's budget, and might be on it's way to tripling it even.
So the 2 situations are not comparable at all.
That said, I think they will concentrate on MOS sequels and other DC properties before making any official announcement/plan on a potential JL movie.

Getting ahead of yourself aren't you Darth? If Zack did another Man Of Steel film It wouldn't be a sequel, it would be another issue. For instance, if he decided to do Doomsday or Darkseid, they wouldn't be sequels, they would be new issues. new issues weren't sequels (unless in a series). But are you really interested in how much the film made? NO.
Do you really give a damn if Zach made 3 million over the film? NO
Why do you fine gentlemen even bother looking at the budget? even shitty movies can make $$$$ due to hype and media bias...like Peter Jackson's King Kong, it make tons of $$$ but it sucked beyond belief.
The point i'm making is that the amount of money the directors make will have no bearing on if you as an individual will enjoy the film. just watch the shit and say how you feel about it instead of worrying about if he made money from ticket sales.
We're concerned with how much the movie makes because that is the Deciding Factor on whether we get sequels and/or spin off's.

a sequel is mostly on its way.. whether they announce it today, next week or two weeks prior to the dvd/blu ray release.. this film has made plenty of money which they are happy about and with Man of Steel set to open in a few more territories overseas this will undoubtedly make another $100 million

Not really, because Superman Returns for example made tons of $$$, Man Of Steel was not a sequel nor was it based on sales from Superman returns. I do however understand what you mean but you can sell out a film every night due to it being hyped but it sucked and no sequel was made. Look at "Masters Of The Universe"
it was thought to be a He-Man movie and made tons but in the end, it was terrible and thank goodness there was no sequel. Should I even mention Street Fighter Movie?

For the sake of classic film watching, please watch one of the older King Kong films, preferably an old Black n White version and see the differences in the Giant Ape's behavior.
the older version didn't dance and get emotional and watch the sunset with the damsel. He was ruthless and was about to throw her ass off the Empire State Building.
The Peter Version was an emotional opposite. (Not an opinion)

You guys are stuck on sequel....
That movie didn't leave an opening for a sequel.
How about just making another movie with stories from the comics that lead to sequels, like the intro to Darkseid or an intro to Superman vs Doomsday.

they are comparable. WB planned to do the sequel regardless of box office returns. They also promised a JL movie with GL as their starting point to a shared universe similar to iron man. It's the reason amanda waller was in the film.

bottom line WB is always promising a JL movie and never delivering. their characters have been under one studio for decades so it shouldn't be as hard as a problem like it was for marvel.

agreed, they should listen to Snyder and Cavill and concentrate on developing solo films first then do Justice League

Firstly Superman Returns did not make tons of $$$. Not even close.
Production budget $275mill, Marketing costs another $50-100mill. Grossed $390mll.
If you can't double your production cost then a sequel is pretty unlikely, let alone spin offs.
That movie was one big disappointment financially.
Secondly what's with the comparison to He-Man and Street Fighter?
Clearly there wasn't demand and expectations to have tons of sequels and spin-off's with those films.
Whilst we know very well WB with it's DC properties is trying to follow up on the mega success of Marvel studios.

Clearly not. The reason a sequel never came was due to how badly the movie bombed. If that movie doubled/tripled it's production cost, then believe you me there would have been a sequel by now.
I get a 2000s Action Comics Run vibe from this Superman Music Video, this song was in the film. This song also gives an All-star Superman feel as well...returning to the Kent Farm, seeing his humble beginnings and what made him a savior.
My son made it home from his trip from France and I finally took him to go see MOS. Its official, nobody in my family or any of my friends liked the movie. When it was over, my son looked at me and said that he was sorry if I liked it, but he thought it was horrible. He hated the fact that Jor-El kept appearing. He said it was stupid and if he was dead, let him stay dead. He hated Amy Adams as Lois. He asked how in the hell Zod was such a sissy in the movie. I explained to him that people on this forum said that he lost to Superman because Superman was used to his powers. My son said that was no excuse for getting his ass handed to him by his worlds head of science. I never thought about it, but he's right. Last parting shot from my son was that if Zod was Kryptons head of military, it was probably for the best that their world blew up. 😂 He thought Johnathan Kents suicide by rescuing the dog was stupid too, and it was.
I truly believe that people that like Superman are forcing themselves to like this movie. It just wasnt very good.

Jor-el and Kal-el trumped Zod in combat because they were designed with a higher IQ...Jor-el being engineered to do pretty much more computing than any other Kryptonian as their leading scientist. Kal-el inherited the next generation of that IQ because he wasn't a genesis chamber born, but the genetically genuine heir of Jor-el.
Intelligence is fluid. A super IQ designed for sheer computing power can be transferred to a higher emotional quotient if necessary, ergo mastering the senses and sharpening the mind for combat, as well as figuring out the tactics of one's opponent and predicting their next move. Zod's high IQ was designed specifically for combative purposes and honing the mind to kill, yes, but the numbers just weren't there. This is why Clark quickly gained melee skills during his battle with the Warrior Bred Kryptonians.
In a way Clark was genetically superior to his father, if you assume Kryptonian genetics evolve faster than humanity's, one offspring will be superior in genetic inheritance to his or her parents.

you need to pay attention. i'm not debating that the movie did poorly or the reason behind a sequel never being made.
what i'm saying is WB has made this promise before in regards to a JL movie and GL sequel. WB stated that were moving forward with a sequel regardless of box office, this was after a 64% drop in ticket sales. so they knew the movie was doing poorly.
i wouldn't hold my breath waiting on them when WB has a well documented history of not following through.

lol. man you inserted a lot of assumptions.
kal in this movie was NOT designed to be anything, he was born naturally so he could be free choose whatever he wanted. that was the whole point.
nowhere in the movie did anyone say their occupation is directly correlated with their IQ. there is alot more to military than knowing how to throw a punch. most military officers are skilled tacticians. while i don't think zod should have been able to beat supes in a brawl, he SHOULD have been able to out smart him in battle.
on another note. in one of the behind the scene videos they stated that all the kryptonians in tights (notice the council didn't wear them) belonged to a warrior class.
