Seems like they've not even looked as far as Tome Welling's rendition considering Smallville is packed with different comic book villains (changing them somewhat but still took a stab at them...)

Yeah, I shall repract that part of my statement lol. I think we can all agree that whoever says these film scripts will be good should either be fired for over-doing something, or handed a good Superman comic without the names Lex Luthor or General Zod in it...whatsoever!

^ But I suppose since this is a total reboot, and they're using Zod for the first one, they would have no choice but to use someone new for a sequel..

(Assuming a sequel isn't a really original idea like Lex Luthor wanting to kill people and make his own continent, while keeping Superman occupied with Kryptonite)
