Merry Christmas everyone!!

I'm glad to see someone was smart enough to get what I was saying. The man is gay and directed his movie as such (regardless of who he kisses) like the batman director who put emphasis on nipples on a leather suit..Singer put emphasis on his gay mans fantasy love triangle rather than putting out fires, catching criminals and kicking ass. maybe some of you have never seen that Superman before.
Come to think of it...some of you are just too interested in my (kissing men) comment. ..just sayin. BTW HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

There's no need for snide comments.

I agree,

I was simply answering a question. There was nothing harmful in my reply Sir.

Merry Christmas!!

Okay...

Saw the trailer for this when I went and saw the Hobbit. I'm excited to see this movie.

SR was a chick flick/ gay man's fantasy with jesus references. singer "kissing men in the mouth" comment is relevant because it' shines "some" light on why he made supes so feminine in appearance and character.

as far as man of steel, i'm holding my judgement until i see the film but the trailer looks somewhat promising since it appears supes will actually engage in a fight where he is not getting his ass kicked.

LoL I think you guys are reaching.

not really. superman is suppose to be the the ultimate boy fantasy, fight monsters and robots, flying, big muscles with super strength, invulnerable.

man of steel seems to recognize this. look at the new costume, it looks like a pubescent kid designed it, which is a good thing. it has a long cape with big muscles.

now, take a look at the superman returns costume. it slender, with a curvy shape (almost figure 8), with no definition and mid-drift man panties. in SR supes doesn't even get the girl at the end. he is content with his woman being with another man and fathering an illegitimate child

Did I just get ad hominem-ed while clearly watching you dig in the same hole?

Singer put emphasis on another aspect of the character. That bears no direct correlation to his sexual orientation. The movie wasn't all that good, but that is as far as it needs to be taken. Soon you'll tell me that Usual Suspects was a prime example of movies for the homosexual demographic.

You didn't like the movie. Leave it at that. No need to bring in the hate.

supes being a dead beat dad and leaving another man to believe he is the father has never been an aspect of his character. you have to wonder if singer's sexuality did have a factor, not just cause of the plot but also because of supes emasculated costume.

haven't seen usual suspects but have seen his x-men films and singer has openly admitted that gay rights inspired his direction of the movies. just like with joel schumacher, i enjoyed his other films but his batman movies were gay.

WB seems like their trying to distance snyder's supes as best as possible from singer's in every aspect.

I don't blame them.

Sir...or if you would prefer, Madam.
Apparently this "gay" thing has touched a nerve with you. I do not hate people for their orientation, I am remarking on the way the previous movie had some feel of a gay romantic comedy.
I am a comic book hero fan and I do not tend to take a lot of time looking at the outlines of rear ends or penis lumps in a costume. I am not used to seeing Superman sneak into a child's window late at night like a molester LET ALONE sneaking into a married couples house looking at them sleep and tearing up.
You need to toughen up your skin, nobody is attacking homosexuality.

AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

It looks meh because it got more than 21 million views in less than one week and is going to be a better movie than Downeyman 3. Did you look at the posters who said it was meh? Stilt hates everything super as does Entity aka I-drop. I can't say about Tzeentch although blaming SR for the reason people won't see this movie is a laughable way to say "I don't want to see this movie".
smh You have a problem w/people thinking differently than you do. That's fanboy stuff. Be better.

I don't hate everything Supes. I watched the 1st few seasons of Smallville & I came back for the finale(wish I hadn't. It was ****ing horrible. Was gonna buy the complete set until I saw that shit.)

Enjoyed Supes vs the Elite & STAS.

It's better to know what you're talking about b4 you talk. I mostly can't stand comic Supes.

That "gonna be better than Downeyman 3" stuff is the kinda unnecessary fanboyish stuff that may come back to haunt you. A "wait & see" approach is best most of the time. I remember some zealot here saying SR was gonna make a billion bucks.

"Entity aka I-drop"?

I haven't seen him actually scrapping with anybody yet. Maybe I just need to see more but I'm really not impressed by what I've seen so far.

P.S. Netflix put a shitload of the animated DC films online recently. Good stuff for the most part.

DC's animated universe is top notch 👆

😆

That was pretty creepy, him using his X-Ray vision and super hearing just to hang round their house spying on them..

And then he gets all upset because Lois tells her current Man that she was never "In Love" with Superman. I mean what a complete cry baby! What did he expect her to say to her current BF?!

You should still buy it. I loved that show. It was just the last season that was pretty disappointing and the last episode was just a long faceplam moment.

You know it really could have. It does take serious effort to have the first Superman movie in 20 years not even make half a billion worldwide.

Guys, talk of Singer's sexuality has no place in this thread, so please keep it out.

==

How anyone can like Smallville Superman more than the comics version is beyond me.

The comic version is portrayed as a much deeper character, is more of a badass, and has much more confidence in his relationships with people, especially women.

Me personally, I just enjoyed Smallville as a show. And as a bonus it was good seeing some ongoing Kryptonian action in Live Action format (which really just made SR even more lame since we were getting more from the small screen supposedly younger Superman).

But yes there was nothing overtly special about Clark's personality in Smallville. It was the other characters, the villains, the action and the plot which did it for me.

You may remember my work in the "Supes is the worst character ever" thread. Smallville cut out many of the things I don't like about Supes. I often refer to it as "Supes b4 he got corny".

I don't think Supes appeals to the GA as much as his fans believe.

The little bits of Smallville I would catch every now & then looked horrible. The Doomsday stuff seemed inspired by Twilight or something. (Don't really remember if Twilight was out back then) I won't have the box set unless it's given to me.

TBF Smallville is horrible.

I can't understand how you may like it over comic Supes.

How many Superman books did you actually read?
