This being so, I do agree with Douglas Adams' highly disparaging views on agnostics, a view it seems he disliked even more than religion. He called agnosticism a view which showed "a desire not to have to think about things too much."
I am not too fond of Agnosticism either.

Nah, I'm an atheist. I don't need that stuff. We call it believe.

But then you'll end up in Hell...because God loves you so much, he doesn't want you to end up there 🙁

Weird, earlier in the thread you said you was agnostic...

Yeah, can't help it. I can not believe in that God. I would blame him, but I can't, cause I can't believe in him. He made me that way, though I do not beleive that he did.

Of course not. But you have difficulty in interpreting your posts. The only reason you gave me that definition is because it's been posted already by me and others. The reason you asked me that question is because you couldn't answer my question and feel like it's me who made the mistake.

Then why did you say you were a atheist?

Well I am atheist. Technically I am still a Catholic, I went to Catholic schools, etc. but I've always had difficulty in fully believing in any of it. A few years ago I made a real effort to embrace my religion but I just found it to be extremely hollow. I got nothing out of the Bible except boredom and a pile of contradictions.

Since I decided to let go of 'God' a year or two ago, I feel enlightened. I feel cheated that I was forced into religious schools, which basically amount to brainwashing, in my opinion. I wish I had had the choice to decide for myself whether I wanted to be baptised or not.If I ever have kids I will give them the choice to make up their own minds.

Athesim has never stopped me from going to church.
Mabye is beacuse my family is Presbyterian USA and their pretty liberal.

Personally I rather enjoy the bible (blood, guts, action, romance, dieties raping virgins, philisophical questions [really just questions, I never did find the answers other people have])

Unfortunately I have found that I can find the same kind of stuff done better in Greek myths, Norse myths and anime.

I don't see how agnosticism is in anyway a view that shows "a desire not to have to think about things too much."

Why not?

"Agnosticism is athiesm without balls" - Stephen Colbert (paraphrased)

personally I'm probably relativly close to agnostic in that I belive god is irrelivent existent or not

I may be wrong but isn’t that called Ignosticism?

Brainwashing? I find that Catholic schools rarely turn out the most moral students. Ever heard of the 'Catholic school girls'? Catholic schools hardly brainwash, with you being a perfect example, Lord Urizen, and Captain being other examples of atheist/agnostics coming out of Catholic schools. Who here attended Catholic school and came out Catholic or even Protestant?
