IMO it doesn't spoil the adventure..characters grow up..I dunno if Jack is going to forever remain a wanderer with no one in his life but himself..he is a human being and he may well want a family..its human nature..
aren't you glad you have a family?..don't you want kids someday?..someone to love and love you back unconditionally
Hopefully, there'll be no kids. I don't think that's Jack Sparrow. Maybe he'll have some kids later in his life with Liz, but for now, in AWE I dont' wanna see any little pirates running around!
Exactly that is not Jack Sparrow, people would never expect this from him. That would be the shocking part. I would like the idea of Jack having significant other and a child at the end of AWE. What a shocker NO? jawdrop
Are you talking to me? Yes, I can't wait to have kids. And I want Jack to have kids. I don't want kids in AWE because it's not the time for them. If they appear near the end, it becomes melodramatic leaving doubt as to whose they really are, and if they appear later, most writers aren't talented enough to realistically portray kids or family units. They do the things I mentioned in my last post: take all the fight and adventure out of the mom and make the dad a complete dumbass.
willo..I can undertsand them not giving Jack a kid if they were going to make movie 4 a continuation of AWE..but its not is it..its supposedly a prequel type thing..so whats the harm in showing Jack actually having a son or whatever before AWE closes?? Its closure, the story is never going to continue from that point..
IMO it doesnt matter if they show Jack with a kid at the end of it all..to me it would mean he finally found his place in life..we know he didnt die and he managed to continue his legacy..

I agree w/ you I would love the idea of Jack having a family @ the end. That is what every human being longed for in life. Jack is a man like any other. That's the beauty of this character. That's why everyone loves him. Unconsciously he desires everything that any human would want.

I think they would still be pirates, too, but it's too early in their relationship to have a kid, imo. I wouldn't want any "is it Will's or Jack's" going on, and I think it would be more interesting and rewarding for them to work on their relationship a little...with plenty of action, of course. The most I would feel was fitting would be if Liz says at the end she's pregnant.
i am at the point where i could see Jack as a father (albiet an awkwardly charming and sometimes confused one) much more easily than i could see Elizabeth as a mother. with where her character is, I can hardly see her as being in a successful mature relationship, much less the mother of a child in any kind of family unit.
but i still reckon thats a serious possibility. i'm very interested/anxious to see how they could pull these characters into position for that type of an ending.
yeah but chiki..my pointi s T&T say the ending is to be unexpected yet make sense to everything..so seeing a kid there would be like WHOAH!! then you look back and realize its probably what was going on with Jack throughout DMC/AWE..and its a perfect answer to what he wanted..
"we see our hero win..and its just how he wins" apparently that is the "unexpected ending".. they are talking about..
so we are expecting Jack to get his immortality before the movie ends then BANG "whats this?? oh yes of COURSE! it makes so much sense"

But then there has to be a fourth? Right? So the 4th could be about the past and the present With some flashbacks maybe explnations stuff like that on why they are like that in the present. And why it happend like that.
