My mistake-I didn't think about my reply before I posted. Of course a man getting off on kiddie porn is not as bad a man who rapes children.
But both are pretty sickening, one more so than the other.

i dont think it is as 'bad', however i think the potential danger of one who masturbates to kiddie porn makes this point irrelevant. case in point: whacking off is a temporary release, not a permanent solution. the only things keeping a practicing pedophile from doing the real thing is inhibition, which also tends to be temporary for normal people, let alone paraphiles, and/or lack of opportunity.
im just tackling the whole "give them kiddie porn so that they're satisfied and dont rape children" debate. after all, who here has forsaken sex because porn is 'good enough'?

That comment wasn't aimed at you, but I think your last point is flawed.
Sex isn't illegal, but porn would never make me go out and rape someone (Illegal). Paedophilia is not only illegal but it comes with a stigma that cannot be removed, so it's less likely that someone will go and commit the act after watching it.
I get the whole supply/demand argument; to watch it there has to be people making it, of course. I'm just saying that if people are going to be paedophiles, and there always will be, it's better they jack off than rape a child.
