Drew attributed Bane's accomplishments to come directly from Revan. That's the "overrating" involved. I preferred it when Bane was a genius and an innovator, not the beneficiary of someone else's design.

Well there was nothing in that book to put revan far beyond bane, its the game kotor and kotor2 which put revan above bane.

And btw, the Moon thing really means nothing when you consider it's yet unproven and that Palpatine is outright called the strongest Sith in Bane's order, in history and in over a thousand years.

Because he was studying holocrons during the 19 year gap as FOC proved and it made him stronger

and wouldnt that make vader 95% of ROTS sidious?

Lets not forget if ROTS sidious is already above other sith then it means vader would be 2nd most powerful sith in the galaxy according to G-canon
