No did I say right but the truth is that it did happen and is still a real threat unlike now you probably won't be walking around terrifeid of every white person but if you lived in the 60s in the south all that time ago you probably would have been 😉

I'm still with Emma Frost..."let everyone kill each other once that's done we'll inherit the Earth mwwaaahhh!!"

Thats Namor's stance too. 😉

New Avengers: Illuminati:

Iron Man: "They come for you in Atlantis, too."

Namor: "No. That would be an act of war. Most probably, you'll destroy yourselves before they even consider us...and it'll be our planet again. Either way, we are fine with it."

I kind of see this like the attack on 9/11. A few Muslim people committed a horrifying deed, now anybody who even looks like there from the middle east is feared. This is exactly what is happening with the Civil War.

With the difference being that the Muslims aren't self-appointed protectors and at least when they damage something they can still be held accountable. It's much more scary for someone to designate someone as a villian, take it upon themselves to track them down, destroy your home in the process but because they where a mask they can't be made to be responsible

Thing is, being a superhero...you really CAN'T just retire like that. Something will always be happening. Is one supposed to just stand there and watch a brutal hostage situation? Or just let an arsenist have his jollies on the city? Or even just a mugging? If they see it, are they supposed to stand there and watch?

P.S.--Thanks for posting the Civil War comic last night.

Thing is, if they're there when a mugging happens, they can do a citizens arrest, just like any ordianry person. The problem comes when they head out looking for trouble.

African Americans fought for what they believed in. The fought for there freedom, and for there families. They were imprisoned for wanted to be able to live freely. Now in this Civil war The people with super powers are now being hunted down. They have done nothing wrong, but be born with something that the government labels as different so they are being hunted. Does it sound familiar?
Nothing wrong!?! They're vigilanties. If I go out right now and interfere with a police operation I will be arrested. This thing isn't about the powers they possess. It's about these jons being doen by certified professionals.

No it doesn't. Africian Americians were taken out of their homelands against their will. Heroes choose to put on the costume. Black people were the ones who were persecuted. The heroes cause of their ignorance/inexperience and even directly have caused the death of hundreds. Blacks were held accountable for things they didn't even do. Heroes destroy property and possessions but because at night they take off their masks they bear no responsibilty? I fail to see any comparison

So if you had the power you wouldn't save those who didn't have the power to save themselves?

That depends. Are they running around on the street with guns, fighting crime, and dispensing their own brand of justice?

But thats the point. If you really want to help people, if you would easily put your life in danger to save someone you don't even know why can't you just reveal yourself to the government?

Because it puts your family in danger. Doc Oc no longer has to attack Spider Man head on, he only has to grab Aunt May and he gets what he wants.

What immediate danger did Nitro and friend pose?

...do you mean when they were in the house or on the run ?

I told you, it's not about the powers they possess, but the choice they make to go out and look for crime.

I think the idea of having trained superheroes is good, actually. You get powers. Now, you have something to make living of, like sport stars. You sign up with S.H.I.E.L.D, and you get very interesting (but dangerous) job, where you are sent to all over the world to fight invading aliens, stop natural disasters, and stop supervillains, only AFTER you have been trained in use of your powers and what to do in situations like them. Basically, you would be doing what you were doing in other situation, only that you would get paid by it, and you would be a professional.

Don't see a problem there.

But, the problem is that sooner or later, someone wrong will get your information, and will kill your family as a revenge. Because the enemies you fight are not like normal crooks, they can kill a human with simple thought. Another problem are the "Hero hunters", they are taking this WAY too violently.

But seriously, if it was not for the problems I was talking about, I would be all for Registration.
