Superman's strength feats arent any more impressive than what Thor, Hercules, Gladiator, etc have done. They would all be disdainfully slapped around by Thanos, except WM Thor who would be respectfully slapped around. Thanos smashed Odin so hard that Odin went "hmph" or something like that. Not many people can do that.

In a straight line, youre absolutely right, Superman would leave Thanos in his dust as the stocky titan would be made to realize that sometimes wider is not better. But in terms of speed in FTL combat, Thanos has shown he can more than hang in there. In fact, not many have ever beaten Thanos in any kind of combat.

Flying is nice but Thanos took down Thing with a single blast and Thor with a half-dozen blasts. Surfer on the other hand, has much more powerful energy blasts at his command than Superman and couldnt even get an "aargh" from Thor, let alone put him down for the count. Flying aside, in the context of this fight with Thanos, superman's other capabilities are just light tricks and heavy breathing.

See, now you've done it. There's nothing Thanos likes more than proving people wrong. Now he's gonna go find Superman and beat him into a bloody pulp and its all gonna be on your head. I dont know how but I hope that one day you will find a way to live with yourself for what you've done.

You say that but i think superman would, for some reason, lose his sense of morality and beat thanos up for even trying to show him up!!

darksied is said to be thanos's near equal and superman kicked his ass... twice... so thanos is in line for a future ass kicking in the next crossover i reckon!

Thanos was losing that battle, don't argue about it.

Thanos blasted Galactus once, an attack that Galactus didn't expect, and after this attack, he BEGGED Galactus not to kill him.

Not many can send Galactus flying through his own ship and knock his helmet off, I would say thats an impressive feat. And what do you mean wasn't expecting? It's not like he was turned around, they were face to face when it happenned, but yes right after he begged Galactus t spare him. Although Thanos shield stood up to galactus's blasts pretty well, he even made a comment on it.

i know he was losing, but im testing his duribilty, im saying after the punishement, he was still able to hit him, and talk a lot of shit.

its obvios that you dont like thanos, so why do you reply, everyone knows what your going to say already. even if you have to stretch the truth to make thanos look bad....

The thing is there are not tons of characters that can beat him. Trust me I'll be the first one to admit when a liked character of mine is beat (i.e Wolverine I almost always argue against him), but in this instance Superman is simply outclassed. Superman might be faster, and maybe just as strong physically, but when it comes to durability, energy projection, and intelligence Thanos is on another level.

and thats that SS is much faster than Supes. You have to wonder though, why would SS engage in h2h with Thanos?

Alot people think that Silver Surfer could take on Gladiator,Superman,Martian Manhunter & Wonder Woman but yet Superman would beat Thanos. Superman is a best a mid-level Herald like Firelord or Air-Walker but when put up against a High-Level Heralds like Silver Surfer or Morg he is snuffed out like a match.. Thanos is way above any Herald and therefore beyond Superman...

Why ? Not because I say so, but because of forum rules : each warrior will fight to the best of his abilities.

That includes using your goddamn speed for a change, and NOT flying towards Thanos like an arrow and feeling his fist a few seconds later.

so thanos can use his sheilds, massive duriblity,strength, and weve never seen thanos go all out. weve seen supes though...

Superman > Surfer. Based on what I've seen in the comics, Surfers durability is nowhere as impressive as that of Superman.

no getting beat by tyrant, then getting back up, and getting knocked back down isnt that good. getting koed by wm thro, without a scrath.getting hit by hulk to no effect.
