Incorrect. Superman is certainly not tougher than the Silver Surfer who got ko'd by a single shot from Odin. On the other hand, compared to the blast he used against the Surfer, Odin kicked it up a notch against Thanos and Thanos was still standing, it was only when Odin kicked it up yet another notch that (BAM!) Thanos got fried to a crisp. So Thanos is atleast two notches (with a good size gap between them) tougher than Superman, so if Supes is at 1, Thanos is at three.

In a straight line, youre absolutely right, Superman would leave Thanos in his dust as the stocky titan would be made to realize that sometimes wider is not better. But in terms of speed in FTL combat, Thanos has shown he can more than hang in there. In fact, not many have ever beaten Thanos in any kind of combat.

Superman is at least as durable as Thanos. I admit however that Thanos can take magical blasts better than Superman. But in a Thanos vs Superman fight, this doesn't matter. You know as well as I do - or you should know - that his opponents almost never use their super speed or reflexes while fighting. It's not because Surfer (famous example) fights like a retard, we all have to assume Superman will do the same.
Don't forget Superman is a better fighter than Silver Surfer.
