Shields. Superman can't touch him. Thanos has beaten far faster characters before as well. This is no different. Thanos is too cunning to lose to Superman and far too powerful.

I didn't claim Superman will beat Thanos by blasting him with HV. So using arguments of Thanos resisting blasts is moot. Hell I even said that Thanos has better durability against blasts than Superman.

For the most part Superman won't touch Thanos while his shields up (neither will Thanos touch Superman). In theory or there's a chance that, Superman will simply phase through the shields reaching Thanos.

Thanos has beaten fast characters (not faster in combat) only when they were not using their top speed against him.

Thanos made Galactus put effort into a power blast.. He's been blasted by Surfer standing literally in his face, and didn't even react to his attack. He's gone toe to toe with warrior madness Thor with Power Gem, who was one shot defeating just about everyone else. He's survived attacks from multiple high end cosmic beings, like Omega and Tyrant.

There's literally nothing Supeman can do to hurt him. Even if Thanos just stands there and takes it, I can't see Supes doing serious damage.

The problem here, is those showings I mentioned are more like Thanos's upper "average" showings..

You won't find a lot of bad showings against characters on the high end brick tier.. Even a weaker Thanos Clone required Thor bringing in Skyfather empowered weapons to defeat him.

The biggest fallacy of your entire argument is that you assume somehow that
Energy blasts= blunt force strikes.

Superman has withstood Skyfather level blasts too, etc.

Thor with PG wasn't more than 2x stronger than his normal self. A normal Thor has one shot heralds. But you are referring to Drax I know (this was the only feat you have). DP Tyrant aint really shit tbh. Glads went toe to toe with him blast wise. Yes he's higher than a herald but not much more than that IMO. Thanos use shielding to help protect him against Omega and Galactus. Who knows how long he was exposed? Superman can withstand their blasts for a certain amount of time too.

oh man, i remember this thread. not my finest moments on kmc. 😂 if you look back around pgs 30-40 you'll see someone claimed that thanos was at LEAST 1000x stronger than superman. i didn't really do a great job in that particular discussion (a rare time where someone on the site really, actually p!ssed me off 😂 ) but still, funny to look back. since someone just opened a thanos/superman lifting thread, it made me think of this one.
