So in essence, at one time Catholics did consider Mormons to be Christians?
😕That's what I'm hearing here.

...makes for interesting get-togethers at the Regret household, I take it, huh?
And your knowledge of other religions, in particular, that of Catholic history is impressive.

"Core teachings" - Mormons believe entirely in the "core teachings" of Christ, so that argument can't be a valid rationale. Or, are you referring to "core" interpretations? Because we do deny the validity of most interpretation accepted by mainstream Christian religions.

I was speaking in general.

Both of you should take note though, that not everyone who is out there supporting your beliefs, is truly demonstrating love. Particularly when those beliefs contradict what is written within the scriptures.
Only Jesus know what the bible means in the first place. The bible has been reconstructed so radically that no one but Jesus knows what he was talking about.

No one completely understands the will of God. But God does share much of what he knows with those who love him. The bible is only difficult to understand for those who possess this love. Loving Jesus simply means obeying his commands, and spreading his word to those with no knowledge of it. Christ does not force anyone to obey him, and all those who follow him do so by choice, because they believe him to be their friend.

The shame is, you really believe that way of thinking. I used to be a Christian, just like you, and I also once believed, what I now know to be lies. God does not reveal any hidden truth to you, other people tell you what the truth is. The truth you see is not universal. That is why there are so many different religions in the world. There is no evil force in the world. That is a tool used by powerful people to keep people like you under control and in servitude. If this “trap” makes you happy, that is fine with me, but do not go around and condom other people for believing differently then you. They may have more of the truth then you could every fathom.
If God chose to let a sinner, who does not deserve forgiveness, in your eyes, into heaven, who are you to question God?

There are really no powerful people in this world. The individuals who think they are powerful, are going to be greatly shocked when they finally find out how truly insignificant their power is. Paul describes your mentality best in the scripture below.
In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. —2 Corinthians 4:4
All of the glory or "power" is really God's; however, the enemy has made it so you and others think that you really solely possess it. He has done this so that you will deny Christ and become completely lost like him. So the real problem is not between you or myself, but instead between God and the devil.

We are all sinners and not worthy of God's forgiveness; however, God is merciful and forgives us anyway, so long as we accept Christ's sacrifice.
I don't know where you read into me stating that I was questioning God, but just to let you know..it is okay to question him, as long as one has the right spirit when asking the question. It's also good for one to question everything about the world around them, particularly since there are many evil spirits in this world that will try to deceive them.
A Christian still has to realize though that not all answers to there questions will be revealed to them right away, and they'll have to reconcile these situations by having faith in God.

What if you met a nonChristian in heaven? Would you question God's choice then?

Everyone in heaven will be a Christian, either by believing in Christ's sacrifice, or by lovingly fulfilling the law if they never knew or heard of him.

Well it's really not my choice to be in heaven with Christ, but I have faith in his promise to allow me to be with him, if I believe in his sacrifice. So anyway, if he does allow both of us to be in heaven, then I'll be the first one to greet you.
Oh and once again..the below was taken from sup dude.
BAD TRY

[EDIT] So that his question will be answered, and I will no longer be forced to respond to tautological arguments.
[EDIT] For additional clarification.

Just in case anyone noticed, I used the wrong form of "their" in the previous quote above. As you can see, I corrected my mistake. I feel much better now that this quote has been corrected. Phew..credibility saved.

The acceptance isn't mine to make. I will however greet you, if Christ decides that both of us are to be saved. If we both have true faith in him, then there shouldn't be much for either of us to worry about our salvation. Still even with faith in him, both of our lives should be demonstrative of this faith, by producing good works for him.
[EDIT] Removed a bold marker...phew credibility saved again..😉
