Superman vs. Darkseid

Started by the Darkone42 pages

DC has literally f**ked up Darkseid, DS is like a sky-father level being out right. Superman should never beat Darkseid at all, DS made PC Superman sh** in his pants, and broke his arm in a battled. DC has cut DS nuts off big time. DS is too damn powerful, that's like Thor beating Odin and you know that is not going to happen.

DS without plot device he defecated on Superman 10/10.

When did Darkseid break Superman's arm, P-C? Not in Great Darkness, and I don't recall any such thing in JLA 183-185.

Super Powers is out of continuity, of course.

As to "skyfather level" don't forget that even Odin has (in continuity) been captured by a bunch of random space aliens, struggled against Thanos, and been knocked out by an Earthquake.

Everyone has low showings, getting the crap kicked out of you next to the sun by Superman is hardly the biggest example of CIS in comics. And of course we need to consider that with out this happening there would have been no plot line for that entire run.

No, the Avatar retcon didn't retcon ANYTHING specifically. It said that his avatars were physically defeatable, implying that the real Darkseid was not, but he's a VILLAIN. Of course he is going to pump himself up.

If we got specific scenes showing certain fights being avatars...okay. Believable. Even a word from Darkseid..."As in the case of the creature Doomsday" or something. Its been done before, in v2 (His battles with Superman during Legends and the Dr. Fate's WERE retconned), it could have been done again.

In spirit, I agree that the retcon was sort of meant to paint Darkseid in the unbeatable light, but it wasn't specific enough to be used in debates.

o i'm talking about the fights in the superman/batman comics.

Not as bad as being afraid of Yuga khan. Atleast Ds has the father son clause as an excuse and he planned his way out of that situation. Thanos is supposed to be a badass, but he gets turned into stone by a friggin ghost.
lets see the option kill a guy then lose to his ghost or run away and live infear. hmmmmmm which one is better. oh yeah thanos becuz he killed him once. darkseid DID NOTHING TO YUGA,NOTHING. AND THE FATHER SON THING AINT STOPPIN ORION FROM KILLING HIS DADDY SOMEBODY.

The Superman Batman Comics were retconned as Mxy and Joker playing games with the two. So the fights in Superman batman don't count. Mxy was protecting batman and Superman.

here's an example: lets say a new guy is hired for DC comics to write for them. lets call him joe.

what if joe were to make a story where superman fights the spectre and superman wins. does that make it canon?

well spectre is far greater than darkseid, and is the wrath of God. different story. superman has beaten many foes stronger than him in power and showings. its the way dc will always be.

So could Superman beat Thanos?

Superman Batman 25. Mxy and Joker specifically were playing chess with Superman and Batman and Darksied. Non of DS losses count against superman in that book. Mxy even says how he protects those two in all divergent timelines becuz it messes with his homeworld and he has to hear about it if they die.

fine. lets say they make a story where thor beats the hell out of thanos so badly that thanos is begging him to spare his life.

would that be canon or bullshit?

Can you actually elaborate that?

i have a million times, superman beat darkseid a few times and put him on the soucre wall. no elaboration necessary. its fact.

So now that Superman only has two wins against Darkseid, and Darkseid has beaten beings more powerful than Superman, then Superman should still be powerful enough to take Darkseid. BULLSHIT.
